Dear Indus Team, I’m writing to share some feedback about an experience I had during my recent visit to your restaurant. I’ve been coming to your restaurant regularly for the buffet lunch, as it’s a place where I’ve always felt at home when I need a taste of familiar Indian food. On my visit today, I decided to eat with my hands, as is customary in Indian culture, particularly when eating rice. However, I was told by a waiter that eating with hands is not allowed in the buffet due to hygiene reasons. I was also informed that it is only permitted when ordering à la carte. I was deeply hurt and disappointed by this response, as I felt that my cultural practice was being dismissed in a place that serves Indian cuisine. I understand that hygiene is important, but the double standard in allowing naan to be eaten with hands while prohibiting rice feels inconsistent and unfair. In fact, it made me feel like I was being judged for something that is a part of who I am and my heritage. I chose not to continue eating because I felt emotionally hurt and disrespected, and I returned the coupon I was given as a compensation for the discomfort. For me, self-respect comes before any meal or money, and I felt this treatment was not in line with the inclusive and welcoming atmosphere I’ve always associated with your restaurant. I want to make it clear that this experience was painful, and I hope that in the future, your staff can be more mindful of the cultural practices of all customers, especially when those practices are central to the cuisine you offer. I believe that respect and inclusion should be at the heart of hospitality, and I hope this feedback can help you improve how you approach cultural differences. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope that you will consider this as an...

We had three different starters: Calcutta Phuchka, Delhi Papri chat, and Tomato Rasam. Each starter costed us 7 Euros. When I tasted Calcutta Phuchka, I felt like Anton Ego tasting Ratatouille (if you know what I am talking about). This Phuchka is also called Panipuri, Golgappa, etc. in India.
The flavours of Calcutta Phuchka are out of this world. I cannot recall the last time I tasted something so delicious and rich in flavours. A plate of Calcutta Phuchka has 5 of them and it comes with a small jar of tamarind juice. You need to pour the juice into each Phuchka, put the Phuchka in your mouth all at once and eat it as a whole. This is THE BEST Phuchka I ever tasted in any place. The other starters were also good, but Phuchka was the best.
Our main meal was Paneer Khadahi and Reshmi bengan. The Paneer Khadahi was again the best Paneer dish we had in any Indian or Nepali restaurant. It was so delicious. The rice portion that comes along with it is a little small, but that's okay. Reshmi bengan was good, but not great.
Overall, I can say that this is the best Indian restaurant in Finland hands down. The food is great. The chef is a culinary genius, the staff are very friendly and hospitable. Nothing to complain.
The average price of a starter is 7 Euros and that of a main meal is 25 Euros. So be prepared to spend around 32 Euros per person. Overall, this is an AMAZING...
Read moreI ordered the butter chicken - the sauce and naan were delicious. However, there was one small piece of chicken that when I tried to cut into it, it was so hard that it seemed like the whole thing was bone. Come to find out, about 75% of the piece of chicken was so dry and hard that I just mistook it for bone. It was impossible to even cut through it. I mentioned it to the staff - they basically tried to convince us that it was just how bone-in chicken was and that the hard parts were actually bone. We tried to show them it wasn’t, and they barely gave a response and continued to explain that “that’s just how authentic chicken is.” I probably was only able to eat two bites of edible chicken.
They never apologized and I specifically asked if we could at least get a discount - they said yes and then literally just took off 2€ from the 26€ dish. Insane.
Also, the dish didn’t come with any rice, which I find odd and abnormal for a butter chicken dish. With the chicken being what it was, my dinner was essentially naan (only one piece came with it) and the...
