Malmo Historic Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Chania

The hotel was even better than expected. The room was beautiful, very spacious with high ceilings and plenty of modern touches. The location was great, right in the heart of the old town within easy walking distance of anything you could need. The reception staff were very friendly, robes were missing from our room so they immediately provided them, even offering a choice. There was complimentary wine, water, and soft drinks in the room. WiFi was fast and reliable. I have no complaints at all, only small observations; the large king bed, instead of having one duvet, had two seperate single duvets on top. That may be a cooler option in summer, but in winter it is less cosy. Also the smart TV had no netflix option and the screen share option was not working to play it from the phone. Under normal circumstances this wouldnt be much of an issue, Chania is so beautiful there's no need to be inside watching TV, but I unfortunately got food poisoning (NOT from the hotel) and had to stay inside for half the trip, so it would have been nice to have netflix etc. as an option in addition to Greek tv and kids channels. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Chania, and actually hope to go back...

I just returned from a weekend in Chania whereby I stayed in Malmo Historic Hotel.

The location of the hotel is fantastic! Right in the historical city center, yet there are nearby municipal parking spots. I dropped off my car at the Regina Municipal Parking which is like 5 minutes away from the hotel.

The check-in procedure went smoothly and we felt immediately welcome because of the interest that was shown in our plans for the weekend which i really appreciated.

The hotel experience was great with a spacious and clean room. I want to mention in particular that I found the bed with its mattress and the pillows excellent!

Having breakfast on their balcony area was so charming! The offered breakfast ingredients was for me in balance. My check-out procedure went also very smoothly!

All in all, I have enjoyed my stay a lot and want to thank the hotel for offering me such a memorable hotel stay in these challenging Covid-19 circumstances. The woman of the reception, Virginia, is very lovely and a pleasant conversation partner.

Therefore I highly recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a price-quality wonderful city...

I stayed in Malmo for two nights. Hotel is decorated and designed with a great taste. The location in the heart of historical center is good. Service is excellent and the staff is available and helpful. My room (Kastello) was quite big, with a beautiful bathroom, and it’s spotless clean and fresh. Breakfast is served in the reception and in the balcony and has a great selection with any coffee you like. |The only comment I would make about the room, Malmo hotel is located in the Chania center, so there was noise till early night from the outside. I think rooms are soundproof, but this is always the case with the location. So maybe upper floor room would be a better choice, if you want to have a little peace from the street noise.|Also, I was also unlucky as there was a big group of other guests in the same floor and they kept their room doors open to the hall and were very loud. |I recommend the hotel, quality meets the price and you will like it for sure: especially if you appreciate design and pretty...
