Where do I begin… this hotel SUPER EXCEEDED all my expectations and I had high hopes. This cave room was simply put perfection. Complimentary big bottles of water coffee shampoo body wash. Towels, robes, slippers super soft. It was sparkling clean and the staff was always on point. Even when I insisted things weren’t necessary like sweeping or cleaning they did it. Just beautiful big and perfect. We had a jacuzzi that was regulated at our request. This staff did everything possible to make our stay a dream. Privacy comfort and convenience was our primary goal and we got all of that here. Staying at the Marizan cave and villas simply means you never even have to leave the grounds. Caldera view (the best possible view of sunrise and sunset) pool to cool off in, room service for dinner with plenty of options to choose from (done with a app that allows you to make personal requests to your meals). They brought the food with all the necessary extras right to your balcony and then the waiter returned to clean everything up. We booked our room with breakfast included and I must tell you the food was 💯 percent perfect. They give you six menus to choose from and there was so much food left over. Mario and his sister Janette and Vicky are who run the hotel and these people know exactly what they are doing and how to make someone feel at home welcomed and cared for. Mario took his time explaining a map to us and things we can do places to eat and where to go. Needless to say we didn’t do any of the outside eating or walking. Staying at Marizan Caves and Villas for just one night to catch the sunset was an absolute delight. Despite the brevity of my stay, every moment was filled with wonder and relaxation.

The location of Marizan Caves and Villas is simply unparalleled. Tucked away on a cliffside overlooking the azure waters of the sea, the views are nothing short of breathtaking. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of tranquility wash over me as I took in the panoramic vistas stretching out before me.

Arriving in the late afternoon, I was just in time to witness the main event: the sunset. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue across the sky, I found myself completely captivated by the beauty of nature. It was a moment of pure magic, and one that I will cherish for years to come.

We were due to be travelling to Santorini on May 18th this month, due to covid-19 obviously this has all sadly changed and our flights have been cancelled.

We got in contact with the hotel manager immediately our flights were cancelled who advised us bookings in April had full refunds and they are looking to offer the same for May. the manager messaged and informed us that ‘you will get a full refund or credit vouchers if we wish to rebook’ We choose to ask for a full refund due to ongoing FOC future travel restrictions and inline with our rights to do so via the CMA (the completions and markets authority) as promoted in guidance by martin’s money supermarket.

Since asking for a refund the hotel manager has ignored our emails and not responding. The hotel never answer the phone with even our travel agent unavailable to reach them. We are very disappointed with the customer service we are receiving due to the current pandemic. It’s also very unprofessional to ignore customers when the hotel manager offers us a refund (which we have email proof)

It’s a shame as we were really looking forward to our trip to Santorini but the way this hotel has treated us I definitely wouldn’t recommend them or wish to stay here. It seems like once they have you’re money, they don’t care, especially as they have gone so...
