Great location on the Buda side, walking distance from Matthias Church and the Chain Bridge. Welcoming staff, beautiful setup, comfortable rooms - clean, efficient and inexpensive. Excellent breakfast option too if you decide to have one at the hotel.
I would not be making justice to the nicety of the people at this place if I do not let the future customers know about the incident we had to go through. My sister and I stayed here just for a night and while we were shopping around the hotel area, we left our wallet in a nearby souvenir shop (next to the Matthias Church, just 5 minutes walk from the hotel). We noticed this only after we went back to Amsterdam and since the wallet had some important student documents and some old memories, we reached out to the hotel staff via email explaining our precarious situation. Honestly, we were just hoping that the world is really full of beautiful people, ready to help one another in times of need when we reached out to the hotel staff. They were the only ones we knew and had any sort of contact with in the whole of Budapest. As luck would have it, our hopes turned true and we received an email four days later from the staff that they had located our wallet and were trying to ship to us! The smile on my sister's face when I gave her this news just confirmed my belief that "Hope is a good thing, may be the best of things and that this world is beautiful because of its amazing people, just like the hotel staff at Buda Castle Fashion Hotel.
By far the best customer service I have experienced. Just grateful to have stayed at this place, to have met the wonderful staff and to have received excellent service even after three days of check-out. I have decided to stay this hotel every time I visit Budapest...
Read moreWe stayed 6 nights in this hotel for business. We were given ground floor rooms, with one of the rooms very near to the entrance. That room has a very strong smell coming from the bathroom drainage. We asked to change room, but the staff said that they're "fully booked". He offered to spray the room with air freshner instead. Out of the three reception staff that we came across, only one staff was friendly and helpful. While others, one always has a sour face and one was unapproachable. The breakfast spread is basic continental. The salad served daily was not fresh, obviously leftovers from the day before. The same with the breads, pastries, fruits, etc. There was one morning, the soya milk had gone sour, the kitchen staff neglected to check before serving. I am making this an issue here because this hotel is quite a pricey 4 star hotel, and not some cheap 3 or 2 star hotel. The room is spacious with big comfortable bed. The bathroom is acceptable with signs of mold here and there. Despite leaving the 'please make the room' sign daily on the door before going out for the day, only the bed were done daily. The towels were not changed daily after the third day of our stay, and we noticed that the carpet were not vacuum, bathroom floor were not clean and the bath mat were not changed just like the towels. Probably because our room was never messy, so housekeeping thought it's fine to just tidy the room a bit here and there. Good things about this hotel: it is in a quiet street. Restaurants, bus stops, tourist areas all within few minutes of walking. Since the hotel is in the castle and government office area which has very good tight security, therefore it is very safe to walk in the...
Read moreThe location of the hotel is a perfect quiet little street very close to the bus links which are very useful as the 16 bus takes you right into central Budapest practically the local shop round the corner the prima was fair priced how ever it did close at around 8-9 which was normally when people where and where unable to get a drink ||The hotel was immaculate and always felt and looked very clean rooms where very spacious with a good size bathroom and beds where very comfy unfortunately the pillows felt small compared to the beds the air-con was great especially when the temperature outside was in the high 30s! ||Breakfast was always freshly prepared and topped up with very clean areas unfortunately there was a big variety of food and the toaster was faulty ||The reception staff where always very friendly and helpful especially Szabi (Szabolcs) who checked us in and told us some information about the hotel and the surrounding area and also changed our cards over when they stopped working (which only happened once) he was also very helpful when we was booking our cab home to the as we had no idea there was two terminals (as it doesn’t state on the boarding ticket) he went out of his way to check our flight on flight checker and was just a very friendly and nice...
