Stayed here as a couple for 5 nights

Positives

Room was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Immaculate presentation which has the ‘Wow’ factor.

Service at the front desk is incredibly friendly and proactive. Nothing is too much trouble. Special shout-out to Arya who went out of his way to suggest a package (‘Discover and Relax’) that seemingly wasn’t on the ‘menu’ but was wonderful and, we felt, a great deal for the price - a massage each and a day tour around the main sights of the area for 1,850,000 Rupiah. The two massages alone cost about 900,000 separately so we felt a driver for the whole day for about one million was reasonable, especially as it was a comfortable car, which included a mini bar, and the driver Gede, who was more than a driver - he was a essentially a tour guide too!

Breakfast was delicious and comprehensive - you won’t go hungry.

Bed was incredibly comfortable.

Communal areas are picturesque, especially the pool overlooking the rainforest - a shame that the rain meant we couldn’t enjoy it as much as we would have liked!

For us, as first-time visitors to Ubud, the location was perfect. The hotel is located at the end of a side street, which means you’re far away from the chaos and noise of Ubud centre when you want to relax, but within 15-20 minute walking distance when you want to venture out to eat/drink

The spa is great, with very professional and skilled staff. Prices are slightly higher than other places but to be expected in a 5-star hotel.

Negatives

Pistachio restaurant was pretty good, but not exceptional. Additionally, the service here for both breakfast and dinner was really pretty slow, although servers are extremely friendly - morning coffee regularly took about 15 minutes, for example, even when there were only a few other tables. Service for food was also painfully slow at the pool bar. We feel that the major area for improvement for the hotel is dining quality and food/drink service speed (the kitchen more than the waiting staff).

The pool closes at 7pm, which is a real shame. This isn’t communicated anywhere online before arrival, so don’t expect to be chilling by the pool in the evening! The reason for this seems to be because the pool area is reserved for the hotel’s ‘romantic dinner’ package, but it seems a shame to prioritise this for a minority of guests over the majority of guests enjoying the pool for longer.

Upon arrival, we found a letter in our room explaining that the pool would be closed for half the day due to a wedding ceremony. This was a disappointing start, as there was no compensation offered for this planned event. Guests should be compensated if part of their paid-for facilities are hired out for financial gain. I would have been furious if I was a guest staying for one day who had booked because of the pool, and it was deliberately unavailable.

Breakfast is a la carte, which is great, but the menu is pretty unclear about what’s included. It’s essentially one starter of fruit, one pastry option, one main, one hot drink, and one cold drink, but the menu layout isn’t intuitive, and requires the service staff to explain this on the first day. A simple menu redesign divided into sections with a description saying something like ‘choose one hot drink from this section’, ‘choose one fruit dish from this section’ etc. would streamline things, and would really help guests whose English isn’t great. We saw one guest have real difficulty understanding that bread wasn’t part of the fruit Entrees because they couldn’t understand spoken English so well, and bread is actually placed in the fruit Entree section of the menu, even though they’re separate, so the confusion was understandable. This is really a small point but it’s these little simple improvements that elevate things to refined...

Stayed at Adiwana Bisma May 3rd to May 5th 2023 with Hubby for a relaxing time in Ubud and celebrate our 10 years anniversary. The hotel exceeded all our expectations. The hotel is located on Bisma Street, halfway between Ubud main street to the North and the Monkey Forest street in the South. If you are walking, it takes only around 10-15 minutes to get to either point from which you can start exploring Ubud. There are many little shops and cafes along the way as you walk out to either direction. The room has good modern amenities (separate rainshower and tub, safe, mini fridge, coffee-tea maker and flatscreen TV). Our room has a balcony with a daybed, overlooking the jungles behind the hotel. There are bathrobes that we used when we go to the infinity pool right above our room. The infinity pool was very relaxing, we swim there in one of the afternoons and one morning during our stay. There is an open shower and two restrooms that you can use during your visit to the pool. The pool bar attendant was very attentive and quick to make drinks when we requested him to. The hotel's open air restaurant (Pistachio) is one of the highly rated restaurants in Ubud. We can see why, they offers great service and very diverse options of food and beverage. Our waiter/waitress were always very communicative, helpful and cheerful throughout our stay. The hotel has a spa that we used on our last night at the hotel. We opted for a couples massage and it was very nice and relaxing, kneading away those knots and tightness after exploring Ubud by foot in the last 2 days. We got a great surprise on our last afternoon there. During check-in we casually mentioned to the front desk that this is our 10 years anniversary trip and when we came back from our Ubud exploring trip we found that they decorated our bed using rose petals and pandan leaves saying "Happy Anniversary" and gave us a happy anniversary cake to go with it! It was really cute! We see the reasons why this hotel is categorized as a 5-star with all the amenities they have and especially the service level. The one thing that stands out in this hotel is how the employees are so graciously attentive, helpful and very service oriented, that it seems like they already know what's on your mind and ready to help you when you asked! Special shout out to Laura who checked us in and showed us around and help with our many questions, to Darma who serviced and decorated our room (Darmaaaaaaaa!), to Mila who helped us book the Spa and Dinner, Komang and Ririn and other restaurant waitress who served us breakfast and dinner and help us book the floating breakfast, and to Rita and Kadek who gave us great massage during our stay. Adiwana Bisma is a place where when you step in you know you will be well taken care of, and this is a Haven, a perfect place to stay in a beautiful...

As a honeymoon trip, our time at Adiwana was perfect. Even before we arrived, the staff were attentive to us, asking if we needed anything and reminding us of our arrival times. From start to finish, we were well looked after and everything was seamless. The staff don’t put a foot wrong and the Pistachio restaurant is incredible - some of the best food I’ve had in my life I had here and I would recommend people eat here even if they can’t get a room reservation. I’m surprised it’s not more talked about just due to the standard. It’s world class for a local, boutique hotel and you won’t ever get such care at a large resort. ||Staff|So attentive, well presented, knowledgable, amenable. There is no problem too big for them. We had a free airport pick up on a day when our flight was delayed and we didn’t realise until the staff WhatsApped us. We requested the pick up at midnight, and someone came with not an issue, followed our flight times and waited during our delay to stay during heavy traffic into the night to take us back. It was all a bit of a nightmare until they saved us. We are so grateful for them waiting and for their company. They chilled us out completely and turned the whole situation around. ||Spa|Gorgeous experience with well rehearsed staff very attentive to your needs. Clean with good products and rooms. Definitely recommend for a treatment. ||Pool|Infinity pool overlooking the jungle open for long hours with plenty of loungers and a pool bar. ||Rooms and Facilities|Modern, perfectly clean. Everything you could want and a surprisingly high standard for even 5-star hotels in Bali. Minibar stocked every day for free. Cleaning and turn down service. Everything is so well taken care of. ||Restaurant|Again, some of the best food I’ve ever had here. Tasty quinoa bowls, to the best set breakfast ever. My husband said the chicken wings were the best he’s ever had. Tasty, fresh, hot, healthy. Perfect!||Trips|We had a honeymoon package and couldn’t believe the value for money. 3 x one hour massages for us as a couple, a romantic dinner for two on our balcony, decorations of the pool and room and a floating breakfast. We also had an all day tour around five popular destinations in a private, comfortable car stocked with water and an extremely knowledgeable and personable driver, Yudi, who just made our holiday with the best trip ever. You feel like royalty for the day. ||Location|You’re right on a street leading into central Ubud with tonnes of choice of|Coffee shops, etc. it’s actually the perfect spot||Do not hesitate to book. I will always remember this experience! Book directly with the hotel if possible for more incentives too. Just impeccable; clean, striving for the highest standards, you are so welcome here! Thank you, Adiwana, for the...

My three experiences at Adiwana Bisma Resort have been nothing short of exceptional, with each stay surpassing the last in its excellence. This resort isn't just a place to stay; it feels like a cherished home away from home. The rooms are a haven of tranquility, with the beds so comfortable they seem to embrace you. The rooms are maintained to an immaculate standard, and the nightly turndown service is a testament to the meticulous care and attention given to every detail. What truly makes Adiwana Bisma Resort stand out is its extraordinary staff. They bring a level of warmth and dedication that transforms your stay into a truly personal experience. The staff not only remember your name and preferences but also anticipate your needs with a genuine and heartfelt attentiveness. Their care and commitment to making your stay perfect is palpable, and their kindness enhances every moment spent here. The pool area is a complete oasis, offering stunning views of the valley that create a serene backdrop for relaxation. Breakfasts are another stand out feature, with dishes that are as beautifully presented as they are delicious. The staff's willingness to accommodate any request with a warm smile reflects their dedication to guest satisfaction. Dining at the resort is always a pleasure, with exceptional food and service that never falters. The Tejas Spa exemplifies the resort’s commitment to excellence. The staff’s gentle touch and thoughtful approach ensure that every treatment is tailored to your needs, resulting in a profound sense of relaxation and rejuvenation. The spa’s pristine hygiene standards and personalised care make each visit a seamless and delightful experience. Overall, Adiwana Bisma Resort offers an unparalleled level of hospitality that remains unmatched by any other place I have stayed. The care and dedication of the staff create an environment where every guest feels valued and cherished. I look forward to returning to this extraordinary resort with each visit to Bali, knowing that it is a place where exceptional service and heartfelt warmth are always waiting to welcome me home.
