This resort is in the heart of Ubud but down a long driveway and has spacious grounds so you feel very separated from the crowds in town. Absolutely beautiful grounds w rice paddies and beautiful foliage. |I need to say we booked our trip w US travel company for whole 14 d and I don’t know how much each hotel cost individually. |We had a lovely room which I think is maybe a basic level. It has huge bathroom space w separate shower and tub and toilet. It has sitting area also which is very nice to have. Lovely balcony overlooking back of hotel/rice paddies. |Our young adult children had room beside ours accessible to ours via patio. |The included bfast was amazing. Buffet items w fruit, fruit juice, fancy pastries and bread and yogurt. Then there is also a 15-20 item hot bfast menu and the food is very good. It keeps you full for a long time! ||The hotel staff is amazingly courteous. We ordered room service once and they called back because I was listed as vegetarian and one item for other family member had chicken and eggs so they wanted to clarify. |The room service was not expensive—maybe $10 per meal at max. |We also had massages. Two of us had 90min and one had 60. The massages themselves were wonderful! (And I get massages regularly in US). The massage rooms are individual huts that are open air to the back of the property where there is a creek running. The cost for 3 was $240! In the US it could have easily been $300 for 90 min and the beautiful setting. ||Be aware that Ubud has become so crowded. Streets are narrow, often no sidewalks. Crazy packed traffic could literally take 20 min to drive 2km in main town to get to hotel at dinner/evening. Streets are old pattern and don’t connect through to others easily and topography (streams and such) make the roads have to work around these. |Glass bottles of water provided daily and hotel cooks w filtered water. Snacks and some fruit in room and few soft drinks provided at check in time. Ice delivered daily. Room cleaned...

First and foremost, full and top compliments to all the staff at Komaneka Bisma, they are the main reason that makes our stay at Komaneka Bisma stand-out from the rest of the other resorts that we have been to. All the staff at this property try their best to remember our names, and greet us with their ever warm hospitality everyday throughout our stay. They make every effort to ensure our stay is comfortable. Special shout out to Miss Nyoman and Mr Dika, who were extra attentive, sincere and friendly.
Staff made sure our bags are already delivered before taking us to our room after check-in. A hand-written welcome letter was also given to us in our room! Rooms are cleaned and made-up throughout the day and staff make an effort to do so at the best possible times without interrupting us. For instance, our room is made up after we left for breakfast, again after we left the property, and once again after we headed out for dinner. Essentially, every single time we leave our room for period of time, the room would be made up and curtains set according to the time of the day and to create a very nice ambience in the room. Breakfast at the resort is a la carte style, however, staff are more than willing to accommodate every request with regards to diet, and are even willing to prepare food that is not offered on the menu.
Small touches like these stand out, and make a huge difference to our experience at the resort.
Property is situated at a very quiet area, but not far from Ubud Centre. Many dining options within walking distance. The room we had was of good size, extremely clean and well maintained. It’s got a good view facing the padi-fields and lots of trees. The balcony is huge and a relaxing place to be. The bed is clean, and very comfortable.
If there’s one aspect which I think can be improved - a bigger TV would be great!
Overall, very, very memorable...
Read moreWe celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Komaneka at Bisma, and it truly was everything we dreamed of and more—an ideal "anniversary-moon." Nestled in lush, green, and tranquil surroundings, this beautiful resort became our peaceful sanctuary. Every day, we wandered the property’s scenic trails and always found something new and beautiful to admire—whether it was a bloom, a bird, or a view that took our breath away.
Our room was stunning, with sweeping views of the rice terraces below and a supremely comfortable bed. Waking up to that view was unforgettable. The Spa was another highlight—not only were the treatments incredible, but the setting itself was serene, private, and deeply romantic. A must-do for any couple seeking relaxation and reconnection.
Breakfast and tea time were our favorite meals of the day! We absolutely loved trying the Balinese treats, and every dish we had at the resort was fresh and delicious. The culinary team also went above and beyond in accommodating my husband's allergies—something we deeply appreciated.
What truly made our stay extraordinary, though, was the staff. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome, as if we were part of a family. The level of care, attention, and warmth we received was unlike anything we’ve experienced elsewhere. A special shout-out to Mei, the receptionist extraordinaire, who seemed to be everywhere all at once—always smiling, checking in on us, sharing her culture, and ensuring we had everything we needed. She made our stay feel even more personal and meaningful.
On our last morning, I sat on our balcony listening to the gentle rain and reflecting on all the unforgettable memories we had made—not just in Ubud, but here at Komaneka at Bisma. It was more than a vacation; it was a heartfelt, peaceful celebration of love. We will never forget it.
Highly, highly...
