Booking management in this place needs a lot of improvement. I had high expectations from this Adiwana branch especially after staying in and receiving excellent restaurant service from their other Ubud branch. I booked a day early using their only online booking system for dinner. We were a group of 7 and when we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation. This left quite an unprofessional first impression. We were then seated in a 6 person table. They had to arrange for one more table to be moved to ours so everyone can fit but not 5 minutes after we were seated the restaurant manager who just arrived told the staff to tell us that our table was “reserved for in house guests” who reserved in that morning. Mind you there were no reserved signs on the table and you just do not move guests around after you sit them down. What even is the point to reserve the day early if they are going to give our table to in house guest who booked after you? Staff actually DEMANDED for us to move after we said we did not want to so we took our things and just left this place. I have never felt so discriminated by restaurant staff before, so I suggest if you do not stay in this resort to not come eat here and take your money somewhere else. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby with better services than this place. I don’t like giving bad reviews but felt strongly compelled to give this one due to the discrimination. Mind you, just because we do not stay there and that we are local we can also pay and generate you good revenue like all your western guests, but I’m so glad we didn’t as we ended up finding another good restaurant with top notch services. This place is...
Read moreGreat environment and modern looking space. However, food was below my expectation. We have a meatlovers pizza and beef rendang. Pizza was just average, it didn't impressed me at all. Beef rendang was dry and blend. As I personally love indonesian food, especially beef rendang, I will be the one who can judge whether it has full of taste or not. It wasn't the case.
As I mentioned earlier, it would be a good space for few drinks but I don't think it would recommend anyone to here for food. At this point, it comes with 50%, but i didn't feel that it was worth paying it even with getting the 50% discount.
Plus, I know that many restaurants in Bali are quire bad with small changes (coins). Some would not even bother to give it back to you while others would not even bother to get it. The tricky part is that it could be a couple of cents for a person, but it could be a few hundred dollars if it happens to all customers for a month....I don't think it is right. I had experience of not getting 200-350 rupees from restaurants, but it was the first time here to ask my change back, which was 1000 rupees. Interestnyl, I had to feel weird to ask my change back, as I got an impression that I should not ask it because it is too small to ask ....that's the impression that I received from staff. Come on.
Again, I get it. It is small small small money, and I personally don't mind much. What makes me uncomfortable is that this will be happened to all their customers, and if we all just let them take whatever the changes we have, they will eventually make quite bit of money for free. This is what make me a bit...
Read moreThe food was good, really good BUT I don’t get serving a burger on a plate and in between putting a piece of paper. It got wet and I probably ate some of it as I had to eat burger with fork and knife (it was too big to bite it)… consider not putting paper there, it’s really totally unnecessary. Also - it seems to be a good restaurant and you are still using plastic straws. It’s really a time to invest in metal ones or at least paper. But what was the strangest - the waitress. She was polite, don’t get me wrong. But the we questions she asked…
