Absolutely should have stuck with usual which is warung@Bisma Ubud (literally 2 mins down the road)
I was feel adventurous and interested to try something else. I noticed this place had better reviews than my usual spot. Unless the reviews are all because of the view, I have zero idea how this place has such high ratings. Service was nice and kind but it’s Bali?! I’d be surprised if it wasn’t!
I try the kannge chicken(no idea how to spell it) and besides a seasoned flour that Im used to (from American so processed fried foods is kind of our thing) nothing was special about that appetizer.
I order the salmon and that was the BIGGEST disappointment. Under seasoned. Interesting texture(I won’t hold this against them because texture is subjective but I did have salmon at Kanyon Resort and it was nothing like this salmon) the veggies were also under seasoned and bland.
Overall the experience seems perfect for someone who’s older and can’t have a lot of seasoning or people who have COVID. Good blend of healthy and non-healthy but it’s not my typical warung and I hate I wasted my money on it. They gave me a 20% discount on the salmon so I paid $190k for a small plated of veggies, some white rice and a small chicken appetizer. Never again.
View was spectacular. Go up the street to Warung@Bhisma UBUD....
Read moreI highly recommend Bisma Sunset Corner on Jalan Bisma, not far from Pertiwi Resort and Spa. . I ate the Nasi goreng with satay chicken. The lunch was delicious and the views and breeze from the raised restaurant were beautiful. The restaurant has traditional Balinese elements, both in the menu and the decor, but it also caters for a range of tastes with many well priced meals. The owner, Wayan, is a wonderful and friendly Balinese local woman. her and her family have kept the traditional rice paddies and lotus ponds at the rear of the restaurant, so you’re guaranteed a beautiful view and a tasty well...
Read moreJust happen to run into restaurant sunset corner and I fell in love right away. Jalan Bisma is still a quiet street in Ubud and because of that the atmosphere in sunset corner is amazing. The details in the woodwork are beautiful and the staff is amazing and professional. Everybody is friendly and in for a talk. Our waitress Sekar was extremely helpful and friendly and made us feel more than welcome. The food is great and super affordable. And for sure we will come back here during our stay. Please keep the restaurant as it is and don’t expand to much because it will lose its beautiful...
