I stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very concerning experience. During my stay, approximately €30 went missing from my bag in my room (a £20 note, some euro coins, and British coins). I reported this to the police, and it was documented clearly as €30, not €200 as the hotel has falsely claimed in their response. I even offered the hotel a copy of the police report, but they refused to accept it.
There were also serious hygiene concerns. My toothbrush, which was left on a shelf, was found on the floor when I returned to my room — along with some of my personal care items. This is extremely unhygienic and completely unnecessary.
Additionally, my makeup products — including some expensive lipsticks — were tampered with by cleaning staff. This raises serious concerns about respect for guests’ belongings and overall standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
I also attempted to leave a note for the bar staff regarding a half-glass of wine I had purchased after the bartender left, offering to pay for it to avoid any misunderstanding. This was misrepresented in the hotel’s response, which implied attempted theft — a completely false accusation. I have the receipt for my wine purchase to prove this.
The hotel also claimed to have CCTV, with signs posted indicating cameras are in operation. However, when I asked to review footage, I was told the cameras do not actually work. This is highly misleading for guests who assume their safety is being monitored.
The hotel’s response to my concerns was dismissive, defensive, and unprofessional, as you can see in their below response. Rather than addressing the issues constructively, they resorted to mockery and sarcasm in their reply. This kind of response does not inspire trust or confidence in their customer service or management.
I am sharing my experience to help future guests make an informed decision. I would recommend exercising caution when considering this property. Avoid. I’ve attached their response in case they want to fabricate further. For the price, really really...
Read moreI stayed at the Leonardo Hotel. The best thing is the location, it’s very convenient.
But a few things were disappointing. The hotel’s photos and description show a sauna and spa, but there isn’t one open yet. Staff told me they planned to remove the photos, but as of my stay they were still online. I booked partly because of this, so it felt misleading and hotel in no way felt like making up for this.
Breakfast is OK but very average. The lift is tiny and used by guests and staff. In the morning, from a high floor, I waited more than 10 minutes for it.
At checkin they scanned my ID. When I asked about data use, I was informed the data is kept (archived) after you leave and you have to ask for removal. I wish this was explained clearly and that they asked first.
One day we also had no lights in the room for a while.
Overall, I can recommend the hotel for the location. But I would double-check if the sauna is actually open, and be ready for slow lifts and a basic breakfast. For me, it was a let-down. I hope they fix these...
Read moreWe spent a few days in Rome and have mixed feelings about this hotel. The biggest plus is definitely the location – just around the corner, you can see the Colosseum, which is amazing! Breakfasts were delicious, with a wide selection of fresh and tasty options. On the downside, the room itself was small and dark, with only a tiny window in the corner. Additionally, the toilet seat kept falling off, making it practically unusable – such issues shouldn’t happen in a 4-star hotel. The worst part, however, was the check-in process. The receptionist insisted that our reservation was for a month later, even though I had confirmation from the official hotel website. Perhaps that’s why we were given a worse room? Later that evening, we couldn’t even access the room because the key card stopped working – we had to go back to the reception to replace and reprogram it, which was very frustrating. Overall, we definitely won’t be returning and probably wouldn’t recommend...
