Beware of the name that is very similar to the Rialto Hotel. I thought I was booking the Rialto hotel on booking.com and when I realized it was not the hotel, I decided to keep the reservation since I paid for it already. While the location is okay, you have to walk down a dark entry way to get to it, and it was really difficult to locate. Once we got to the site, we realized it was not a hotel, but an apartment building. The room was clean but the bed was like a pull out couch. Also the air conditioning did not work the first night and we struggled to get any sleep. There is also a restaurant below the windows and it is noisy until after midnight, and there is no screen so you can't open the window unless you want mosquitoes in your room.|After spending an hour and a half texting the owner, he finally came out to fix the air conditioner the second day, but it still was not very cool and after the second night we decided to leave and find another place to stay. The owner agreed to give us a refund for the last night, but that never happened. |I was really disappointed in booking.com who I booked the reservation through, they didn't do anything to help and closed the issue. Then when I tried to put a review on that site, I couldn't because I wasn't "invited" to...
Read moreUpdate: Added photos of mold and conversation where host went silent until they sent an automated check out message. If 24 degrees is the best the air conditioner can struggle to do, then that is sadly insufficient. We did bring this up the air conditioner as a reason to request a refund. Yes the winter blankets were used, but they were used for padding for the uncomfortable mattress, not warmth. Further complaints to the staff were not made due to the unresponsiveness displayed with the air conditioner.
Falsely advertised that there was a functioning air conditioning unit. The air conditioner in our room could not properly cool our room and we were sweating all night. We set our air conditioner as instructed by the host and closed all windows/shutters hoping that would help. It did not. Host did not provide any solution and went silent. Condensation from lack of proper air conditioner seems to be a persistent issue as there was a ton of it above the bidet, enough to cause black mold! The bed was also super uncomfortable and we could feel the springs all night long....
Read moreFantastic location, just a few minutes walk to the Rialto Bridge. The room was a decent size for the three of us travelling, one double bed and one single bed, both very comfortable. A double window overlooked a small courtyard at the back. The area was quiet and peaceful at night. Facilities in the room: fridge, kettle, safe, TV, luggage rack, wardrobe, bedside units, dressing table and chair. Bathroom with shower and bidet. Cleaned daily. The host Andrea and his team were very friendly and helpful whenever we had a question. They gave us a very generous welcome gift - such a nice surprise. Would stay again and can...
