Nadir Home — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

On arrival we were shown in after being ripped off by the guy who took our bags he demanded 200 dirhams and if we didn't pay he promptly told us " it was very dangerous at night around here " there was no electric when we arrived no one spoke one word of English , we didn't have a clue what was going on , we were shown to our room which we had to access in the dark , we were not told anything about what time breakfast was or what time we had to be in as you do not get a key you have to knock on the door to be let in ( you could be stood there for 2 mins or in our case 10 mins ) when the electricity finally came on the next day we could see what a dump our room was ! The light in the bathroom didn't work , the sheets were stained and the netting that went around the bed was full of dust ! Absolutely disgusting place ! Now I understand that this is a raid and you are basically living with a family but this was on another level ! We didn't even know who the staff were ! On the Friday eve there were about 5/6 men just wondering around ? The room we were in you had to access through a window ? Really a window ! No locks on the doors no safe ! I went down to breakfast without my partner to be told that I couldn't have breakfast alone as it was for two people ? What ? Never in my life have I been told that ! So I had to go and wake up my bf just so I could get a coffee ! We left a day early ! Seriously do not bother ! Oh and we had no hot water the whole time we...

A group of five friends, we were fortunate each to have one of the beautifully decorated, comfortable rooms. We found a warm welcome from Yassine and his staff. Yassine arranged a day trip the Atlas mountains, with a stop for tea at a berber home. Our driver/guide negotiated camel rides for three of us. Before dinner we relaxed on the roof terrace, a luxury given the weather we had left behind. Each evening we enjoyed excellent meals -- a different Moroccan speciality each night, which Yassine served with great pleasure. The setting -- lanterns and candles and flowers as well as the pool -- made the evening meal most relaxing after a day of sightseeing and haggling in the souks. If there had been other guests, I guess we would have been more adventurous and sought out restaurants, but everything about the riad - its decor, the excellent meals, and the pleasure the staff takes in looking after guests -- made dining there the right choice for our group. I think that the hammam I had in another Moroccan city was probably better than the one here, but the massage was good. We were offered tea when we arrived and on other occasions, such as enjoying the late afternoon sun on the roof terrace. Among the other services Yassine offers is transport to and from the airport. In brief, the stay at Riad Nadir was super. I'd go back in a minute, and I'd try to make it a party so that we could have all five rooms. And, yes, the location...

Il y a deux Riad Nadir dans la médina à ne pas confondre. J'ai été au Ryad Nadir situé plus à l'ouest du Nadir Home. ||Concernant le Nadir (rue Tizzougarine dans un dédale de ruelles), l'endroit est calme et éclairé. Pas de problème d'insécurité le soir. Il y a un poste de police à 3 min à pied donc cela dissuade quelque peu...||Les critiques du home sont tout à fait correctes. Concernant le "mien", il y a une charte de qualité tripadvisor et booking. Attention car il n'est plus référencé sur booking également.||Les services du riad sont très chers, le taxi 20 euros pour aller à l'aéroport. Nous n'avons pas eu le choix à 4h du matin, ce qui fait grincer des dents pour 10 min. Plus cher qu'en France...Alors qu'on peut tout à fait négocier la course à 50 Dh...||Le jeune homme ne nous avait donné aucune information sur le taxi soit disant privé, qu'on ne devait pas prendre les locaux "jaune"... Nous avons fait l'erreur de taxi comme prévu surtout que le taxi privé n'était pas à l'heure exacte. Le taxi local était à l'endroit prévu donc grosse confusion. Peut être un peu de naiveté de ma part mais pressés par le temps, nous n'avons pas réfléchi..||Heureusement que celui ci a été très arrangeant alors que nous avions payé la veille le prix fort. Je ne sais pas s'il a pu s'arranger avec le riad pour régler sa course mais c'est un exemple qui montre un manque de considération du client. ||||Nous avons été très déçus du couscous servi au riad que nous voulions tester absolument. Limite un couscous végétarien avec très peu de viande. Aucune explication valable des propriétaires pour cette prestation limite. Donc là aussi ça sentait l'arnaque. ||J'en ai mangé des excellents en France, là nous sommes tombés de haut. ||L'accueil en général est très froid, peu communicatif. On sent que le business est prioritaire... ||Le prix de l'eau est double voir triple par rapport aux kiosques et petits commerces du coin...||Les savons de chambre ne sont pas changés ainsi que les gels douche pourtant excellents. Je les ai préféré aux miens...Le papier toilette également..||La chambre était de très bonne facture, le riad est cependant charmant et authentique.||Le petit déjeuner est simple et suffisant. Les galettes préparées étaient excellentes mais une par personne, cela reste léger et c'est bien dommage...Le pain est de bonne qualité car une petite boulangerie à proximité livre le riad donc rien à redire.|| ||Au final la qualité de l'accueil gâche et tout est fait pour ponctionner les dinards... ||Et certaines personnes n'ont pas eu les prestations prévues sur leur réservation (pas de climatisation, chambre basique 10m2 au lieu de la luxe...), ce qui a conduit à des...
