Edit: We went out this morning with the intention of going to a photography museum and then the secret gardens. Several people tried to tell us about the 'leather market, people from the Atlas mountains, only in the morning'. Curious, we decided to go after the museum. Very quickly we encountered another young man, assuring us he was on his way to work and could show us for no charge. Long story short, we went through the Tannery scam. Thinking this must have been the wrong market, we headed back towards our Riad in the hopes of finding the real one. This is when we encountered the man from the front of this restaurant by chance, who directed us towards the same, never to be found square, where the market was. As he seemed to recognise us from the day before, we assumed this must be it now. We almost walked into Tannery scam number 2. Incredibly jaded now, won't be back at his restaurant after all.
Review: Found this little gem by looking at Google maps. As everyone else has already said, the staff were very welcoming, the kitchen is clean, the rooftop terrace and atmosphere was perfect for dining. I tried the lemon chicken tagine, my partner had the vegetable tagine. Both delicious.
Looking at some other reviews, I think I'll be going back to try some of the other dishes!
The entrance is just by the entrance to the market, so is easy to miss but definitely worth...

The food was amazing. Atypical Moroccan food but noticeably done with love. Family-owned family run you actually have to walk pretty much through the kitchen to get to the upper terraces. It's tiny super tiny. But that shouldn't deter anyone from going. The sister who served us was kind and accommodating. The mother and family cooked the meals. And the brother dealt with the money. I ate here more than any other place in town. I stayed for a week and tried many of the different restaurants and this was by far, the fanciest,...
Read moreA quiet, unassuming cafe that offers the friendliest service and tastiest food we enjoyed anywhere in the Medina. It’s worth the climb to the tiniest terrace (5 tables, 10 seats) for the lovely views (Medersa BennYoussef, Koubba, Atlas Mountains) and relative peace after the bustle of the souks. So good, in fact, that we had brunch there twice in 3 days and we enjoyed every choice we made. Avocado salad, shawarma and brouettes were probably the stand-outs. Give yourself time to take a break here. The service isn’t the quickest but the food is always freshly cooked and it also comes with the sweetest, happiest smile. What’s...
