The hotel was big disappointment, mainly because the location. We were family of four with young teenage kids, and luggage to manage four days in Marrakesh. The first challenge was getting to the hotel late evening as the taxi had to stop us 5 min walk way due to the narrow path. The hotel receptionist did come to meet us at the taxi stop, but he looked rather unhappy and not very welcoming. Once we rolled our luggage through the narrow paths and stone road to the hotel, we were served welcome team by the same unhappy looking receptionist and were asked to fill out a4 size arrivals cards by ourselves. The rooms and deco inside was nice, looked quality and reasonably well maintained. It’s the location that was challenge for us, getting taxi to restaurants was challenge both for walking back 5 minutes through the alleys to the little opening and walking through rundown alleys back to the hotel. We ended checking out early and loosing two other nights paid stay, which was unfortunate, but best thing for family of four. We asked if it was possible to get some refund, but understandably this was declined. It’s okay though, putting it all on learning and taking better care to check the outside photos of the hotel in future, added for others benefit two photos of the alley and entrance to the hotel. If you are not traveling with children and want to be at the hearth of old town of Marrakesh and bazaars then this could still be your choice as the hotel inside is very nice, just the outside narrow alley and motorcycles passing inches away was not for us.

We had an excellent stay at Riad Al Janate, truly 5-star! The Riad is a comfortable, quiet, and luxurious sanctuary within the busy streets of Marrakesh. We were picked up streetside by a Riad staff who walked us over to the Riad, checked us in very easily, and served us with beverages and fresh Moroccan tea. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The courtyard and the rooftop have seats and sofas to lounge, eat, or work at, and the staff was always nearby and pleasant to answer questions or to support. The Riad has a delicious breakfast every morning with both coffee and tea service. The staff truly go above and beyond, and each one of them is so kind and welcoming - special recognition for the manager Mr. Abdo. I also used a few different services in the Hammam and Spa. It was clean and sanitary, and the services were relaxing and high-quality products were used. 10 minute walk to all the good stores and Medina. Overall, I loved my stay at Riad Al Janate. I haven't met a more wonderful team in one place before. I would absolutely stay here again and again when visiting Marrakesh.

Misleading information on spa leaflet. On the leaflet it says relaxation and release of tension for the whole body but just received a leg and foot massage. Was then told I should have googled what the massage was before I got it even though it said relieves tension from all of your body (before being crossed out) admits it was a typo but still expected to pay, asked why I didn't ask the lady giving me a massage. After my legs were done she just left the room 5 minutes later came back in and turned the light on. Really disappointed in the service my alternative was to pay more and wait for an hour after my friends finished and get the rest of my massage. No customer service was all my fault for not reaching the massage prior to getting it done. The lady was really nice and not her fault at all it was the way it was dealt with after. Also noticed blood on the floor when leaving the room.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Riad Janate. As soon as we arrived, the staff made sure to meet us a few blocks away (the road is small so cars can’t directly drop you off in front). The location is perfect, about a 7 minute walk to the markets and the square. Very historical location. They even helped us with our baggage + greeted us with coffee, tea and pastries.

Abdo was an amazing host. He was very accommodating, he made sure to give us tips for walking around the medina and even booked our excursions for us. We ended up picking a camel/quad bike + dinner & a show in the desert! It was charming. There’s nothing like watching the sunset in Marrakech ❤️

Mr.Muhammed also gave us 5 star service, I’ve never received better service in a hotel before. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world and I come from a city that is known for their hospitality… but Mr.Muhammad blew us all away with his kindness, determination to please and efficiency. He even took me to the bank in the morning to withdraw cash. I can tell his career will take off in the industry.

Besides the excellent staff; the hotel is extremely clean. The rooms are decorated for royalty!! We all loved waking up to breakfast near the pool, listening to the birds chirp as we sipped our coffee.

We hope to return to Marrakech soon , and we will be staying at the...

A Delightful Stay at Riad Janate in Marrakech

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad Janate in Marrakech for two nights, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the serene ambiance and beautiful decor of this traditional riad, tucked away in the heart of the medina.

What made our stay truly exceptional was the outstanding hospitality we received. A special mention must go to Simo, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. His cheerful personality and sunny smile were a constant source of warmth throughout our stay. Whether it was offering helpful recommendations, arranging logistics, or simply checking in to make sure we were enjoying our time, Simo’s attentiveness made us feel at home.

The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-appointed, with thoughtful touches that reflected the charm of Moroccan design. Breakfast each morning was a delight, featuring fresh and delicious local offerings. The riad’s peaceful courtyard and rooftop terrace provided the perfect spots to unwind after exploring the bustling streets of Marrakech.

If you’re looking for a place that combines authentic Moroccan hospitality with impeccable service, Riad Janate is a perfect choice. I can’t thank Simo and the entire team enough for making our visit so special. Highly...
