From start to finish of my 12 days at Stupa Guesthouse, I was truly made to feel like family. It’s rare you come across a family business with such kind and caring individuals, who really make you feel special. They were so very accommodating with my changing schedule, and were happy to extend my stay for the duration of my time in the Kathmandu valley. I found that this very fairly priced guesthouse was the perfect home base for adventures throughout the area. Strategically located on the southern edge of Thamel, it is a short walk to a variety of shops, restaurants, night clubs, numerous temples, Durbar Square, and the Garden of Dreams. In addition to offering fine service as a hotel, they also took it upon themselves to organizing transportation, treks, and activities such as the local temple tour which is not one to be missed.||||The hotel itself is clean and colorful with well lit rooms facing the western sun. The smells of incense and aromatic food fill the hallways. The cafe downstairs serves a wide variety of delicious dishes ranging from traditional Nepali to western fare. And, the 6th story rooftop patio offers an excellent view of the city and wonderful quiet place to sit and read in the sun.||||I was very impressed with my time at this guesthouse, so much so that I’m already planning my return trip. You meet a lot of wonderful people while on the road, but these people were truly exemplary. I intend on staying here again in the near future, for it truly feels like a home...

Well located at 1 minute from the action of Thamel, but with the advantage of being quiet at night. They also offer free luggage storage which comes useful for going on long treks or visiting neighbouring cities. As well as Ram being a resourceful guide for places to visit and helping with booking travels. Also, they have a restaurant which offers delicious nepali cuisine. In short, great value for price; don’t hesitate just book it and enjoy!
