I would like to share my recent experience at your hotel, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively and seriously by the management.
To begin with, I want to appreciate the front office team—they were truly outstanding. Friendly, professional, and efficient, they left a great first impression. Overall, the hotel staff were polite and well-mannered, which reflects good training and hospitality culture.
However, several areas of the operation fell short of expectations, especially for a hotel positioned as a 4-star property.
Housekeeping Standards
The housekeeping service was poor and unprofessional. The mop being used to clean both the hard floors and carpets was outdated, extremely dirty, and emitted a foul odor. It was unhygienic and far below modern hotel standards. The carpet in my room was visibly dirty—clearly, no vacuuming had been done. Dusting was completely neglected; for example, my room telephone was covered in visible dust, showing a lack of attention to detail. These are basic housekeeping tasks that should not be overlooked.
Food & Beverage Service
The F&B service was equally disappointing. We ordered two cups of masala tea—one was full, and the other was half-filled. We were casually told the rest was still being prepared. If the tea wasn’t ready, the staff should have informed us and requested a few minutes rather than delivering an incomplete order. Moreover, the tea was cold, which completely ruined the experience. Every time we ordered tea to the room, it was sent without sugar sachets, again showing a lack of basic service standards and attention to guest needs.
Environmental Responsibility – Water Wastage
Another major concern was the excessive and irresponsible use of water by the housekeeping team when cleaning the outdoor areas. I saw large quantities of water being wasted without any concern for conservation. As a hospitality operations manager, I strongly urge your management to implement more sustainable cleaning practices, such as using wipers or floor sweepers with limited water use. We must all do our part to protect natural resources for future generations. Wasteful practices like this are no longer acceptable in today’s world.

Final Thoughts
As a professional in the hospitality industry, I urge your management to take serious action to raise your operational standards. You have the potential, but to be truly considered a 4-star or aspire to 5-star, attention to detail, cleanliness, professionalism, and sustainability must all be addressed consistently.
Thank you for the overall service, especially the warm front office team. However, based on this experience, I will not be booking this hotel again unless clear...

The hospitality at Hotel Thrive was top-notch. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, making me feel valued as a guest.
During my 6-day, 5-night stay, I had the pleasure of dining at the hotel's in-house restaurant. The food was simply outstanding. Although the gym and pool were under construction during my visit, it didn't diminish the overall experience. The hotel's other amenities and the exceptional service more than made up for it. I can only imagine that once the renovations are complete, Hotel Thrive will be even more impressive.
In conclusion, my stay at Hotel Thrive; A Tropical Courtyard was nothing short of exceptional. Read moreI hope the management will take this review seriously. However, it seems there is hardly any proper management in this hotel — because if there were, the kind of behavior shown by the staff would never go unnoticed.
First impressions matter the most, and unfortunately, the first impression here was quite poor. When I politely asked, “May I have a seat?”, the staff responded, “You can ask in (at) the reception.” Such a reply clearly reflects a lack of basic hospitality etiquette.
The staff appear to act on their own terms, without discipline or coordination. There is also visible discrimination between Nepali and foreign guests. When you order a mocktail, they bring a cocktail instead. They don’t seem to understand the basic sequence of service — which food or drink should be served first and which later.
One staff member named Roshan was serving guests after consuming alcohol, which was very disappointing to witness. I come from a management background myself, and this is the first time I’ve observed such unprofessional behavior in a hotel. I strongly recommend that management closely monitor the overall conduct and performance of the employees.
It’s unclear whether the management is unaware of these issues or simply doesn’t care, but I can confidently say that in any reputable hotel, such staff wouldn’t last more than a day or two. While some employees may appear polite, they clearly lack adherence to service policies and proper hospitality standards. Additionally, a few seem to struggle with basic English communication skills.
I apologize if this review sounds harsh, but my only intention is to ensure that the management becomes aware of these issues and takes the necessary...
