After reading mostly positive reviews I thought I would give this place a go. I booked a daily special on Agoda at $4usd a night. On check in I was advised that there were no rooms available at that rate and that I was required to pay an extra $14 a night for the room that was available. Not a great start. After letting my hot water run in the shower for 5 mins as advised by staff at check in I discovered that even running for that time the water simply did not get hot. After complaining to the reception my wife and I were told we can use a different rooms bathroom; that room did have hot water after the 5 minute wait. When we asked to change to that room we were advised we can't. It wasn't until the following day that we discovered that other guests (without hot water) were also sharing that rooms bathroom. Some of the lights didn't work in the room, no heating/AC in the rooms. No cleaning/turn down, no water, absolutely nothing. Nice hotel located just a couple of minutes walk from Central Thamel. The location is right off a busy street so it offers privacy and is away from the noise.

The place itself is kept clean and the staff is polite. From the minute we walk in to see the room, we got great service. When we had question, there was always someone with "ok" enough English to help us.

The room are a little cramped and do not have A/C. Kathmandu gets a lot colder at night but still. The room we had didn't have outside window so it got hot at some point. There was also a humidity scent but we opened the indoor windows and it was fine.
