Hotel Magnolia Pokhara — Hotel in Pokhara

We did not like this hotel.|There are tables and chairs on every floor in the hallways that invited people to sit there and shout/laugh all night. There was a youth group running and shouting very loud until late.|Rooms are big but not so nice, beds are ok but very soft and pillows hard, did not sleep well. No extras like second towel or hair dryer. Stains on bedding and towels.|Breakfast ok but nothing special, breakfast room not Very cozy.|Stayed for two nights and had to change rooms in between which we were told as we were sleeping, that we had to move rooms right now which was very unpleasant No help with moving baggage or anything, very unprofessional.|The toilet did not work, had to fiddle with the system every time. |Large windows but no views because of neighboring houses. Very much light at night because no good drapes.|Table and cupboard almost fell apart.|Would definitely not stay here again and if we had known we would have to move rooms anyway would definitely have changed hotels after the first night. Just stayed because we did not want the hassle of moving all...

Well, the hotel management is very professional in a way as they do follow up with phone calls about the reservation. Just in one of the inside lanes near Basundhara Park. Found 2 thick, long, black hair on my bed as soon as I removed the blanket. One of the hair had a bonus of some scalp remnant hanging onto it. I had to switch off the bathroom lights everytime before I entered it as the bathroom had a crisp and clear glass window which opened up to someone's roof just a few feet away. Needless to say I was kinda constipated during my stay. The tap on the basin was very wobbly and I was scared it might just come off. Didn't have the breakfast there as I was just very uncomfortable.

To sum up, I do not understand the good reviews I saw online about this hotel. It us not even like it is dirt cheap. I am still trying to wind my head around it and I am never gonna stay...

Tried to tell me they could not complete my booking on the morning of the day I was due to arrive. When I ignored the email and turned up anyhow, they had rooms to spare. Tried to charge me 23% extra in 'tax and charges' not included on the menu. Tried to overcharge me 600rps on checking out on exchange rate calculation. Wifi didn't work in rooms. Had to come out to common areas. TV Indian channels. Out of the way. It surprises me it got so many good reviews. I wouldn't trust these people and I certainly...
