I recently visited Pokhara & booked hotel stay well for one week (which was further extended another week because we loved the place so much). The hotel staff are some of the nicest people I have met in Nepal, which speaks volumes as the Nepalese are such a friendly nation.||Firstly they were so warm & welcoming that we instantly felt as if we were part of the family. They are extremely kind & helpful with anything you might need. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them & they always went the extra mile to ensure our stay was absolute perfection.||The hotel itself was clean & comfortable. The staff were great and the food was excellent. Although they don't offer 5 star facilities, what they do offer, more than makes up. ||The owner Dilli was fantastic. He is so kind & accommodating. He provided the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life (& I have travelled many places around the world). ||Even after we left the hotel he continued to help us with our onward journey and ensured we were well taken care of. On one particular occasion we were stranded in Lumbini with no coaches to Katmandu (due to busy festival period) and he manage to arranged our travel for us when our current hotel couldn't. ||Overall I would highly recommend hotel stay well. It provided us with peace of mind as well as friends & memories that will last a...
Read moreThe man at the front desk is an absolute gem. One of the friendliest people I've met in Nepal. But unfortunately the positives end there. |I was up on the top floor next to the public balcony. The room had a strange smell to it. Opened the windows to let air in to find the flyscreen isn't attached and easy to pull off. And with the small ledge outside the window, someone could easily climb into your room.||There room was somewhat clean. But weird stains everywhere. Bed linen, bathroom walls. The hotel was a little run down, but that was no real issue. Wifi is slowwww at best. And the worst part about the public balcony is that people hang around there to chat, drink and watch loud videos. And you can hear every word, loud and clear. And they were there till well past midnight.|Was meant to be staying here for several nights, but I checked out after the 1 night. Thankfully the lovely desk man only charged me for the one day. ||Had chosen this hotel from all reading the good reviews, but was let down...
Read moreThe rooms are great; equipped with fans, they're clean, spacious and ours had an ensuite so no complaints.||||Above anything else though we love the owner Dilli and his cousin Suman who runs the kiwi house next door. These are two of the most kind, funny and helpful people you'll meet in Nepal. ||||Like Dino m wrote in his review "need fuel for a motorbike? no problem, BBQ? no problem." You'll find that nothing is a problem here and these guys went out of their way to help and provide for us during our stay.||||You honestly don't need to sit in a quiet place reading your lonely planet in solitude because all the local knowledge is just a conversation away if you stay at either Hotel Stay Well or Kiwi House. ||||Thank you guys for contributing to our amazing experience in Nepal, We would love to come...
