The long awaited Ratna Mandir opens from 29th May, 2023 for general public.
This is a historical Palace built by King Mahendra of Nepal on the name of his queen Ratna Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah.
This palace used to be a hangout in the winters and for the times when the royal family members wanted a hangout outside the capital. This palace was also a access to the people of Western Nepal for the kings.
King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev was the last official king to have visited and stayed in the palace, which is now a heritage site since the abolishment of Monarchy in Nepal.
The premises is big, with clean gardens and peaceful environment beside the fewa lake. This could be a tourist attraction for people seeking some peaceful places such as the garden of dreams...
