Rajwadi Restaurant — Restaurant in Pokhara

Worst food, service and ambience I have ever experienced. Came here at 1PM, ordered different thalis for my family of 6, waited till 2pm only to receive food that was oversalty, disgusting, lacked spice, and could have been precisely compared to someone who has never tasted actual Indian food at all. Their menu shows to have hundreds of items when in fact they have less than a dozen that they serve on a given day.

They should be ashamed of calling themselves a Rajasthani restaurant because there's absolutely no Rajasthani food here at all. They literally have Burgers, Pizza, Sandwiches, Paratha (only tandoori roti and lachha by the way), noodles, momos and thali which goes to show that they are only trying to market themselves as a Rajasthani restaurant.

When we asked them to reduce the salt, they ofcourse put water in it and gave the same items back. Just unacceptable. Funnily, even the watered down version tasted more salty than what any Indian dish usually is.

The service was extremely poor, but I assume that they hired new interns or fresh youngsters who are just looking for work. You can't blame the waiters, but only the management. The cashier manager literally had to tell one of his waiters to go to a table to take their order. I won't say more about the service because again, they had new employees who have no idea what they're doing, and without proper training.

All in all, please do not dine at this place. They have basically found a great way to fool people (for those who know this meaning in hindi) and so people continue to visit. Extremely disappointed.

P.S. Bought a KitKat from the shop next door just to get rid of the "Rajwadi" taste. Money...

Ordered a cheese and veg sandwich for my 7 year old daughter and got a veg sandwich. We were only told 3 minutes after it was delivered, not at the time which was frustrating.

I ordered water at the same time as I ordered my food, but it came after I’d finished. That’s sucked.

Upon receiving the bill I noticed the water had been added to the bill despite it not been drank.

The bill came to 500 without the water. I paid in cash the 500 and proceeded to leave. I was beckoned back as the lady said that I had given her 450.

I could have made the mistake, but I think she was salty from me deducting the water off myself. Who knows but I know I won’t...

I recently visited Rajwadi restaurant at pokhra, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the ambiance or food might have had potential, the staff's attitude overshadowed everything. The behavior was surprisingly rough and unwelcoming — from the moment we walked in, it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. Basic courtesy was missing, and the arrogant tone of the staff made the entire visit uncomfortable.

Customer service is a key part of any dining experience, and sadly, this place failed in that aspect. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and trains the staff on hospitality and respectful...
