Margik Backpackers Hostel — Hotel in Pokhara

This is a budget backpacker hostel that has breakfast included. It's not the most social one but it's definitely possible to meet fellow travelers here. I appreciated that there were a few spots in the restaurant downstairs with powerplugs where you can be on your laptop as long as you need. The wifi there was alright, but it was almost non-existent in the rooms. Cleanliness was okayish for a budget hostel but don't expect too much. The rooms have many beds so if there're fellow travelers, expect some interesting smell and people who wake up early to be on their phones on max volume. The rooms are poorly sound insulated, so if there's anything going on in the other rooms or outside, you will know it. There were also many mosquitoes in the room. No towel provided but you can refill your water for free. There were some nice restaurants in the area and you can reach Lakeside Road if you don't mind a ten minute walk or so. After having been travelling 3 months in India and some weeks in Nepal, I arrived at this great hostel and was like a bliss. The rooms were clean and quiet, the beds are comfy, the duvet was fluffy and warm (with clean covers that look for one use only), and the shower and toilet area is kept super clean, with hot water available within 5 minutes after switching the heater on. There are lockers in the rooms and small lockers on the walls next to each bed, if needed. They also serve food and good breakfast options for very good price and have a sitting area and balcony outside, as well as a nice restaurant/sitting area on the ground floor. The location is super central, away from the noise of the main road but 1 min walk from the main street and walking distance from all restaurants and cafes on the lakeside. Also the main owner was super kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend this...

The owner is very kind and honest. The rooms are very clean and every bed has a small locker for Smartphone etc. Additional there are also bigger lockers in the room. No Towel but for that is breakfast included.

You can book many different things about the hostel und you can be sure that the owner won't cheat you.

You can also buy cold drinks for a very good price. Cold sprite, coke,... For 60 rupiah.
