It was very expensive for 3 days so we expected the rooms to be a bit more updated. We were charged an extra 3% on top of the charge for the room for using a credit card when 1.5% was quoted online. It was a struggle to get our bags to the second floor. $300 per night when converted to Australian dollars, we were shocked. We went through booking.com, and they added their bit. Who pays in cash these days? Or carry around $900 worth of cash in your pocket. We did have a lovely view of the lake. It was a bit far to walk into Queenstown where you can not park anywhere for longer than a half an hour limit or go to a multi-level car park and pay $6 per half an hour. It wasn't easy to cross the road exiting the motel towards Queenstown by car as it was a very busy road. Crossing the road by walking was difficult as well.

Unfortunately not very impressed with this accommodation. Like others have mentioned the long ongoing roadworks outside are quite an eyesore and as we had a road facing/Lake view unit it really disturb some tranquility. The extremely busy road noise was awful. It did die back at night for a bit, but started early, it woke me up despite wearing ear plugs. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The net curtains had mould on them, the windowsills were not dusted, there was mould in bathroom. So sadly our last night in NZ was not a relaxing one.

Very friendly and helpful hosts, Di is very knowledgeable and gave us some great advice and local knowledge. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious. After aong day skiing, the beds were just amazing - I travel a lot and these were some of the best beds I've ever slept on. Free unlimited WiFi, free pay TV (with movies) mini kitchenette and heaps of room. The bath came in very handy when I needed to soak a very sore and tired body. Overall - this Motel is great value for money, pristinely clean and great decor in and out. Highly recommended!

If you don’t want a welcome, electricity, heating then this is the place to be!||We arrived at about 17:15 and the reception was closed and opened up the next day at 09:30. Everything fine, we took the keys from the post box. |The room was ice cold and we put the heating on. The heating just made noises all night and didn’t give any heat. There was a phone number available, but only for emergencies, if it wasn’t an emergency then the owner would charge you 50$. As we didn’t know if having no heating (which you would expect at a motel) was an emergency or not, we decided to sleep in the cold. |The next day we told him about it and he gave us an electric heater. I also asked if he could change the full bins from their previous guests. ||The next evening the electricity was out. It took about an hour for it to be back…|The room itself is outdated as the heating doesn’t work and there are scratches and stains on the walls and carpets. |The cleanliness is ok. For the ‘show’ it seems clean, but whatever you do, do not look under the beds or behind cabinets!||The location is good, it’s a 7 minute walk to the centre, but in all honesty you could probably find a better motel with a warm welcome and...

I would not even rate this hotel a 1. My husband and I arrived at our hotel with our 10 month old daughter after booking our room through wot if to find ourselves being refused to stay. When making the booking, there was no mention of it not being suitable for children UNDER 14 YEARS OF AGE, yet they felt it was ok to take $1,200 from us even tho we didn't stay. We booked a self contained room with a queen bed but were given a bedroom with a queen bed and single bed, if we had been given the right room we would have been able to fit our babies cot in it " safely " but that would have been to hard for the manager to change. She also threatened to call the police because i began to cry and told her that they were being unfair. Not once were we abusive or out of character. Purely upset as it was our honey moon, we had a tired, cranky and hungry baby and were just told we would loose our $1,200. Completely unprofessional and unreasonable. Such a terrible experience, and i hope you are enjoying the easy extra $1,200. Because our honeymoon was cut short thanks to your lack of...

This is important! You can't arrive or drop off luggage after 8pm and 9:30am. We booked a stay on Tuesday. We had an all day trip already booked for the Milton Sound. We had to meet the bus at 6am. We called the hotel, they wouldn't make an exception for us?!?!? We have been traveling for 32 days and have not had this issue. Next to the check in desk, there's a living unit for the workers. Needless to say, we had to book another hotel and we didn't receive a refund from this hotel. We were told we would receive a refund over the phone but Expedia said the hotel denied it. The units are old but spacious. At 2am our HVAC unit started dripping water profusely. It woke me and I shut it off. I told the staff when we left. The shower sprays the ceiling and it falls on your head. There is a massive construction project happening in front of the hotel. It's not their fault. Be prepared for access issues and loud noises...
