To cut my long story short, the hotel charged me USD100 for an agreed room upgrade at AUD100 for 2 nights during 20-22 April, from an economy room to deluxe room. The receptionist, David, approached me with an EFTPOS machine, entered "100," and assured me the charge was in Australian dollars, as previously agreed. The next day, I discovered that I had actually been charged USD 100. We went back to the hotel twice requesting a refund of the extra charge AUD57. The hotel later explained that they only "operate in USD" — but in that case, David should have charged me only USD 63, the equivalent of AUD 100. They agreed to refund the overcharge within two days. However, I still have not received any refund. Please see all supporting documentation is attached. I strongly advise caution when booking this hotel—they appear to use deceptive practices to overcharge guests.

This is the cutest hotel we’ll ever stay at. It feels like luxury without the luxury price. The hospitality is unmatched. Rooms are cute and have what we needed. The location was perfect for our stay. The one thing I’ll say is bring ear plugs, but this is probably a good idea for most or all of the hotels in Cusco. We stayed here for our Machu Picchu trip- took an Uber to Poroy, and took the train to Aguas Calientes. On the way back we took the train to San Pedro and an Uber to the hotel. This trip has been one of a kind! I would highly recommend.

Great hotel in the best location. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful, Anibal, but also the other staff. Booking one of the more expensive rooms (207 or 208) is absolutely worth it, the space and the design you get for the extra money are just wow. If I could make one wish, it would be better coffee for breakfast ☕️ But it's just a tiny detail. We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

I think your experience here will really depend on your expectations. I’d give them 3.5 stars if possible.

This hotel is great if you want a more budget friendly option, good location and plan to be out most of the day.

Pros: Great location, near city center and many restaurants. If you go up the stairs, down the block, there’s a nice shopping area with way less solicitors.

The pictures are as captured, beautiful courtyard

Will hold luggage and service is efficient

Free waterbottle refills and coffee/tea

Bed is very comfortable, room is clean (aside from bathroom)

Cons: Heater is only on from 7pm-7am. I came back from Machu Picchu (raining that day) and had to find something to do for 2hrs so I wasn’t freezing in my room. But it does get warm when you are allowed to turn it on.

Mold in the shower (see pictures) unfortunately there’s no central ventilation which is understandable how it happened but it’s noticeable and should be disinfected. They provided a mat for your feet otherwise I would’ve suggested shower shoes.

Hot water is hit or miss. Was lukewarm at best at night but was steaming hot in the AM. I did have to let it run for ~5min to heat up.

The walls are definitely thin. I’m not sensitive to noise and use ear plugs, but if you are - I can see it being a problem. Most of the rooms face the courtyard and ppl are unintentionally loud coming home from a night out and in the morning during breakfast.

I think this is a good hotel if you don’t need all the bells and whistles and want a step up from hostels. If you want a luxury, quiet experience, you could pay

Loved my stay here! I stayed for 3 days in July 2025 and would totally recommend. Rooms were quaint, but beautiful clean and cozy. Bed was fantastic! Free water, tea, coca leaves, and little candies all day. I saw someone using oxygen in the lobby that must have needed it. I loveddddd the continental breakfast. Yogurt, bar, fresh fruit, fresh juices, coffee, meats cheeses and breads.. scrambled eggs and sausage meats. The outside floor patio was lovely and the "roof top" area was beautiful! Little market right next to the hotel where you could purchase wine to sit up there and relax. Jacks cafe right next to the hotel was fantastic! Very very close to the city center, and an easy walk to there. I was a solo traveling female and felt VERY safe! You have to ring the doorbell to get into the hotel where a hotel worker would personally let you in, so it's not like anyone can come and go as they please. They stored my luggage when I went on my hike and when I returned, it was all already waiting in my room :) I was on the first floor and walls were a little thin, buuut I'm a heavy sleeper and loved being right next to the water, so I thought it was totally worth it! Really loved this place and would highly suggest...
