Hotel Arcángel — Hotel in Distrito de Cusco

My friend and I stayed at this Hotel and we both felt the same that it's a must to write some good reviews for them cuz we totally enjoyed our stay here. First, the entire place was super clean and comfy. Their free breakfast was just too great for the hotel price. Every morning you will be served with at least one cooked egg menu (e.g. scrambled eggs, fried eggs, etc.), 2 entree menu, all kind of fruits and smoothies (during my 7-day stay there were 4 different fruits and ~5 smoothies every single day), and there is a tea and coffee table that's available 24/7. The location is great, too! It's just 2 blocks from the main square and yet it's sooooooo quiet to the point that it makes you feel like home every time you get back to the hotel. This place is surrounded by restaurants, convenient stores (in case you need to buy water, snacks, etc.), travel agencies, souvenir shops, and even laundry. You can also easily walk to Saqsaywaman in about 30 mins. More importantly, it provides the best service that you can ever ask for! Every single staff there is super nice, kind, welcoming, polite, and helpful! They also offer free storage in case you have to go hiking somewhere else for a few days and come back. After I came back from Cusco, I did recommend this Hotel to all my friends who're interested in going to Machu Picchu. If I have a chance to go back myself, I'll definitely stay at this place again! staff try their best to help you but the language barrier can be a burden, be sure to not use complicated phrases or expressions when using google translate and you should be good

room cleaning daily. Rooms dont smell bad and the sheets and towels look and feel clean

balcony has 2 windows so your room doesnt lose too much heat (mad props to engineer/designer/constructor)

DID I MENTION HOT WATER 24/7 AND AIR CONDITIONER SO YOU CAN HAVE A WARM ROOM?

yeah yeah nothing is perfect here are some cons: rooms are not soundproof so you may hear other tourists especially at the important rush hours of the day AC does not have humidity option so unless you put a bowl of water or have some hydrating nazal spray, your nose will definitely bleed from being dry floor makes noises under your feet in some places breakfast may be underwhelming for some (me included).

Still giving it 5/5 tho, because all those pros + the price tag make up for it...

I really enjoyed my experience with the reception here. They were able to modify my very complicated reservation over WhatsApp. When I got there they were waiting for me and even came out to pay my taxi since the driver could not make change en route. We had a triple room which was very big and on the first floor. It has two doors, one to enter where there is a foyer and bathroom, and a second for the beds. This makes it pretty soundproof. Great hot water and the room had heat and blankets. Breakfast was a standard buffet but they could make eggs etc. Location is great - mini marts all around and you are close to the center so lots more options. Would 100 recommend this to anyone traveling. Exemplary customer service...
