Boracay Balcony Inn — Hotel in Malay

Me and my boyfriend stayed for a week in this hotel. ||Pros:||- Kind hosts, very accommodating and helpful. They were always aware if we needed anything, helped us with information about the island and how to travel out of the island. They gave us free alkaline water through our hole stay and adapted the breakfast for us because we don’t eat bacon (changed it kindly for banana). ||- Hot water available in the shower.||- Good AC.||- Very good location because it’s 5 minutes away from white beach and D’Mall. We were almost the only ones in the hotel so it wasn’t crowded nor the streets beside it (locations in the beach are very crowded so we wanted to avoid it). ||Cons:||- When we got there the first room (second floor) they gave us looked pretty good but at night suddenly 3 cockroaches came out of the bathroom sink. We went to inform this so they gave us the room next door which also looked fine at first but after a while the cockroaches also appeared from the bathroom. They finally moved us to another floor (1st floor) and gave us a bigger room which also looked fine. Our last room worked perfectly, we didn’t see any cockroaches, only lizards. The room had a kitchen and refrigerator, we liked it a lot. They were very nice and looked very upset for the inconvenience so I guess that’s why they gave us a more expensive room but didn’t charge us more and gave us free water every day.||- Internet was horrible, very unstable, sometimes we couldn’t even get our mail, and forget about instagram or Netflix. Our last day something miraculous happened and it worked perfectly (were able to watch Netflix) but the other 6 days it was a headache.||- The place was being remodeled so it was very noisy some mornings and all of the afternoons.||- There’s no generator which was kind of upsetting because the power on the island was cut every day from 8 am through 5-6 pm so the room got very hot and we...

I am not sure if i am easy to please or what, but this place, although new (you can smell), satisfied my "checklist" of a great stay. I booked thru Agoda because of the price and some positive guest comments. Yes i booked but my friends were the ones who actually slept here but we stayed for some chat and drinks most of the day. Based on what i saw and experienced, the property is very stylish, hip and the interior was simple. I really liked the lively color(s) (and/or lack of it). A studio type-fully furnished--Kitchen/pantry complete with utensils , bathroom was super amazing with rain shower head.||The booking was breakfast inclusive, they were served with simple Filipino breakfast which was very satisfying (according to them :D and they showed me some pictures, yes i agree)||Best thing was the staff. The people who were serving the guests. I got the impression that its a family-run property and you can feel the personalized service and sincere interactions. They were so polite and nice that we felt that it was too good to be true. One of them even let us use his guitar. Oh, and the price of beer from the mini bar? our wallets were very happy.||One thing though, because its location in Bulabog beach side is inside a compound, it could be difficult to find but upon booking, they will provide you with guides and instructions, and they will pick you up.||If its location is not an issue for you (like not being in the white beach side (station1,2,3)) and if you will be with your friends or...
