Wald's Place — Hotel in Malay

I will give 5/5 for the service, you can approach anyone (staff) if you need anything, they tried their best to provide simple needs i.e hot water, dining stuff if needed literally anytime👍🏻room and bed up to standards and clean, the lobby floor is always dry and they keep on mopping it to remove sand and avoid getting slippery.🙌🏻🙌🏻

Breakfast from 7-10am — is included in the package we availed, it is served fresh👍🏻🍳🍛

I love how they manage to serve us the breakfast a bit early (6:15ish) cause we have to leave and checkout by 6:45am 👍🏻👍🏻kudos to the staff✨

they have a pretty number pf dining table where you can eat your own food- just make sure you clean and dispose it properly before leaving. There’s just one of thing about the water smell, idk if it’s because island water in the faucet smells different but its really somethin😅😅 Overall i would comeback again, it’s really the affordability and good service, will definitely recommend this to whoever wants to visit the island🏖️❤️ there’s also good dining and souvenir shop just outside if ever needed. And if you need to go around like island hopping etc there’s someone waiting just outside the compound offering nice activities at affordable price...

Stayed there from August 18-21. We had our room reserved at a travel fair in Cebu. There were four of us. The room was VERY small for the 4 of us, that if we are there, we'd just have to be in bed all the time. I was very disappointed that I sent an email to the travel agency to express our discontent. There's hardly a place where you can hang your wet clothes or towels, and imagine there were 4 of us. There were mosquitoes too. ||||The location is good though, just a few minutes walk to the beach. Their dining area is small that when it's time for breakfast, you'd have to wait until there's a vacant space. The crew, most of the time, forgets that you already told them you're going to take your breakfast already. During our stay, there was one time when we were seated an hour after I told them we are ready for breakfast.||||On our last day, they offered transportation services. Then I said it's quite expensive, and one man (I think he's related to the caretaker/owner) said "just give it to them for free" in a sarcastic tone. So much for customer service, Sir.||||All in all, had we have taken a look at the room before booking, we would have decided to book...

Wald's Place Hotel Room Review:

I recently stayed at Wald's Place Boracay and, unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. While the hotel has potential, the room lacked some basic essentials that made it feel overpriced.

Pros: good location, 3 to 5 minutes walk from the beachfront

Cons: Insufficient basic amenities No clothes hangers Insufficient hooks No tissue No chairs Insufficient blankets Bidet is not working No toilet racks or pads available, especially since this is a beach location Inadequate family-friendly amenities, despite booking a family room Poor value for money

Additionally, our first night's sleep was disrupted by loud talking from neighboring staff. As we're there on vacation, we were looking forward to resting and relaxing.

To improve, I suggest addressing these basic needs and ensuring a cleaner environment for guests.

Will I return? Maybe, if improvements are made. Or maybe not, because of the resident ghosts/elementals.
