As regular boracay beach bum I've seen the best and worst of this awesome beach along with its changes. Having to stay at the best places (boasting aside shangri la bora and the likes), beau and I took a leap of faith and dared to see the other side of bora known as "bolabog". Yeah, yeah we heard so much of it long before but choose to ignore considering the long walk we will face and we are two lazy peeps. Anyhow, after staying here it changes everything on how i looked in boracay. After so manyyyyyyy research of reviewssss I made up my mind and hit the booked button, and boi my only regret is why i did not try exploring bolabog before?||The wind riders inn and cafe is armed with skilled cooked and baker! They are no chef by any means but their pasta's, gourmet sandwiches, COFFEE, crepes everything is made from scratch and love. Did i meantioned healthy and almost organic? Just perrrffeeect! The taste of their food? At par with cyma even better, Without ripping of your pocket. ||The staff and owner?? Man! They are hospitable, and genuine! A true filipino traits. Since our flight is early in the morning and they only serve breakfast at the tune time of 8 in the morning, they went out of their way, packed us huge gourmet sandwiches for take away purposes! They are truly amazing people, amazing family must i say they ran their business together and treat their guests like family.||I have to highlight this WATER, anyone knew how hefty is the price of drinking water in bora, and for a camel like me who can chug down 4liters a day it comes with a hefty price. They in Wind Riders Inn, provided as every single day-for 4 days, of mineral and bottomless pitcher of water for FREE!||The Room, spotless! Clean! I am an OC esp when it comes to toilets and actually that was my fear in every hotel that is why I only choose the best (high rate hotels). Wind riders inn prove to me that in a very affordable budget you can have a clean, new toilet and i must not forget it is cute! Hahaha||I only gave 4 stars for thewalking is terribly long and i am a lazy duck, plus on our last night actually gruesome for me but my beau was just fine with it, the ac in our room suddenly crashed, we called one of the "ate" staff hence she too has no clue and it was in the middle of the night. We just shrug it off and call it a night, the cool breeze in the area helps us to not feel the room has lost it's ac. The cool breeze actually is cooler than the aircon! Hahaha||The action in this area, wind surfing! Cool for a fraction of 2k in your budget you'll get to try a tutorial on wind surfing, it's like flying...
Read moreIf you like a quite place without crowds, excellent food and you love water sports like windsurfing and kitesurfing, this is the best place on the island. I'm coming back to Boracay already 6 years for kitesurfing, and till now I didn't find this secret place. Its really well hidden at the end of the kitesurfing Bulabog beach, where the beach is widest. The owners are a very friendly family and they run this place more like a hobby then a business. I felt there as a part of their family, and after all my visits on the island I was really happy to find such a great place. ||You can find there more kind of rooms, starting with the 2 simpliest huts, 4 double bedrooms, 2 deluxe suites with kitchenette, and the most luxurious premier suite for 4-5 people with a huge balcony on the upper floor. During my 1 month stay I have tried the double bedroom and the premier suite, and even I was alone, I liked the big premier suite with the great view. ||Another surprise for me was the food. After all my visits on Boracay I have tried really a lot of restaurants on White beach and also Bulabog beach including the top 10 ones, but the food in Wind Riders Inn was just amazing. During my 1 month stay I have tried a different restaurant on the White beach only for one dinner. All the other days I have stayed in Wind Riders Inn. Just to mention, even the bread they cook for themselves and the food is in bio quality for a very reasonable price. ||The next positive thing about this place is for kitesurfers. The storage of kite equipment is free of charge and they help you with launching and landing the kite. Great service. ||All in all I would highly recommend this place and when I come back to Boracay, I will definitely stay there again. ||||At the end I would like to thank for a beautiful month to all family members: Fele, Erick, Felippe, Emelyn,...
Read moreWind riders is the perfect enclave to escape the unforgiving heat after a day of kite boarding on Bulabog beach. It boasts a couple of hammocks, a small cafe and numerous mismatched chairs to move around at your will. |The scenery is Paradise Found, with the stunning and highly active beach a mere stone's throw away - literally a step away. |There is a sign hanging on a wooden beam that says 'The food is all made from scratch, but it's worth the wait'. The first time we ate there we were fortunate enough not to be starving as the food did take a long time, however, we ordered three dishes to share from the specials menu which were incredible. |The ginger chicken, spicy prawns and chicken adobo were each so tantalizing, their flavours intense, but deliciously so, that we returned to have the same meal more than once during our 6 day stay. |I would highly recommend a visit, and ordering all they have - unfortunately we fell in love with those meals and didn't try anything else on the menu, but if I ever go back to Boracay then that would be the first...
