The Attic Boutique Villa x Smooth Cafe — Restaurant in Malay

Saw many people posting about this place. So we decided to try have a coffee and snack.

Saw that they have a buy a caramel macchiato and get a second drink at 50% off. When we wanted to order, the waitress said it was for one person. We got confused. I mean it wasn’t stated, and how does one person drink 2 coffees at once? She was very patient though.

Coffee took 22mins to come. It was at the counter for a long time but no one served it. I did an oatmeal one but the coffee still felt too acidic. Or rather it felt burnt. Didn’t finish it.

We ordered an attic burger as well, took 30mins for it to come. First glance when it came, was why was the patty so dense. Bacon was not crispy, and was already cold. Putting the burger near to ur mouth/nose, there was a pungent smell. Had a first bite and taste/smell was off. (Chef did come out to explain to us that the beef came 3 days ago) but regardless, we didn’t finish it. You could not eat it with that smell in your face. The patty was overly seasoned as well, very salty. No way you could eat that. At over P500, that was the worst burger I’ve eaten in awhile.

Ambience was good, though it felt like a house that was newly renovated. Food wise, have to improve quite a bit. Service wise, waitress was nice, however service time of 20-30mins was...

Good thing that they moved from the busy highway to the quiet bulabog beachfront; the vibe nownis exquisite! gone are the futuristic ultra modern sleek look; it is now a serene peaceful place for a relaxing coffee break, which honestly suits the brand better and is a much needed addition to back beach.

i had a spanish latte and a festive omelette for a late lunch; not spectacular but super solid value.

the real winner though, is the atmosphere. they tried real hard and succeeded in making a very peaceful spot this side of Boracay.

Highly recommend for those lazy afternoons, when all you want to do is sit back and...
