Calma Cafe and Restaurant is a gem! Everything we got was the best of what we've tried, been visiting this island for a deacade now and I have not been in that part of the island. Seeing tiktoks about this place made me visit (so thank you content creators specifically Fat Lui).

The Tablea drinks are a must try (either Milk or Coconut variant) it is the most thick, chocolatey drink you'd ever have. We also got the Coconut Latte which made the coconut milk the star, my fam got the Cucumber Cooler and it was a refreshing drink for such a hot afternoon. My cousin ordered the Dalandan Juice which was fresh and has a nice natural sweet taste, we got a couple of cocktails too Screwdriver and "The Nish" (custom drink for my sister, both are divine and well balanced drinks.

The food? Try their Chicken Salad Sandwich it is probably one of the best sandwiches you'll taste. We also tried the Roasted Vegestable with Tahini, Moomba Bread, Chicken Vegestable Salad and Shakshuka Hummus, all are made to perfection. We were so satisfied with the food that we have no left overs!

The place is spacious and has 2 sections the lower floor where there is about 8/10 bar seating chairs, and the upstairs can accomodate a good 6/7 tables of 4 people, they also have solo swing seats and corner bar chairs (instagrammable spots). If you hate the humid and heat I suggest you visit this place at sunset or at night, tgere is no aircondition or fan available as the place is alfresco, make sure you bring your handheld fans! The chairs are comfy and the tables are in good height table ratio. They also have cold water available (tje water is safe to consume at least for us) and lavatories with showers are also available in the first floor.

Finally, the staff is top notch, kind, accomodating, attentive and very polite, everything we asked for is given. The orders took only 10 mins to prep and all were served in 20 mins time. The bartender even went up to visit us together with the barista if the dribks were up to standards and it was definitely! We will go back here again as we had a hreat time, the place is sitting in the edge of bulabog beach access is easier if you ride a trike and go down in Club Galaxy. We preferred the longer route where we started in the curbside drop off in bulabog.

Overall if you are in Boracay, stop by and visit Calma Cafe! Scenic, good food, and wonderful...

The cafe had a tree house vibe. You have to take your shoes off before you enter the cafe but that doesn’t seem true since some of the customers had their shoes on inside. We obviously respected the cafe’s rules and had our shoes taken off.

We had their matcha, tablea milk, tablea ice cream, and tablea float. There were barely any hint of sweetness found in the drinks at all and the staff explained that they calibrate their drinks to suit foreigners. Sugar syrup was available upon request. But if you didn’t know that, you’d basically be drinking watered down milk. Adding in some sugar syrup made it taste somehow better but I don’t think their drinks are worth it. I think they should just have their sugar syrup given to the table rather than having to request it. Service is a bit slow too.

The server & staff all confused the tablea float with their tablea ice cream. They served us their tablea ice cream and the server said it was the tablea float. So naturally the person who ordered the tablea float wouldn’t think anything of it since the glass did have ice cream so we assumed this is just how they presented their float. We followed up the tablea ice cream and after a while they realized that the one they served was the tablea ice cream and not the tablea float. By the time they realized this, the tablea ice cream was already gone. So we requested if we can have another tablea ice cream instead of the float. They didn’t have any more ice cream available so our request couldn’t be fulfilled. They were apologetic and offered us a free drink but we didn’t like any of their drinks so we just declined and left since we were already disappointed enough. They also owed us some change (just ₱10) which we weren’t able to get. By the time we realized this we were already far from the cafe and I don’t think walking back there again just for ₱10 and a reminder of disappointing drinks...

Disappointing Experience with False Advertising

I had a very disappointing breakfast at this café. The menu and online promotions proudly advertised their toast as being made with high-quality, homemade bread. However, what I received was the complete opposite: cheap, dry, and utterly bland store-bought toast. When I asked about it, I was told that this is the bread they now serve. To make matters worse, out of the three toast options listed on the menu, only one was available, and it was served with the same low-quality bread at the same high price.

The omelette was equally disappointing—dry and flavorless, as if it had been sitting out for hours. Even the cappuccino was a letdown; it looked nothing like the beautifully crafted drinks showcased on their Instagram account. Instead, it was poorly presented and lacked the care and quality you'd expect from a café that prides itself on its image.

On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and polite, which made the experience slightly more bearable. However, good service alone cannot make up for the poor quality of the food and drinks.

The overall experience felt like a complete rip-off, especially considering the prices they charge. I will never return to this café and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a quality breakfast. The false advertising and lack of effort in both food and drink preparation are unacceptable. Save your money and go...
