What a lovely little hostel this is! 😍 It feels just like a home, very cosy and spacious dorm rooms with incredibly comfortable beds, and this place seems to attract the nicest guests, so you will meet some lovely people here! The kitchen was well equipped, with everything you need to cook, and the bathrooms were the best I have ever seen at any hostel, with really brilliant showers 🤩 There are lockers to store your valuables, but this hostel seems so safe, I kept forgetting to actually put my things there haha! One of my roomates needed a doctor during her stay, and the lady who owns the hostel kindly drove her there. The location is perfect for a peaceful stay, a very short walk to the lake, in a very quiet residential area. There are two large supermarkets nearby. I stayed during some stormy weather at Lake Bled, and this hostel was the ideal place to hide from the rain and lightning, have some good chats with other travellers,...
Read moreThis was my first small town hostel, and I felt like I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect. I also felt like there wasn’t much on the reviews so here goes. Overall this was a good experience.

It seems like there isn’t a time when the door is locked and no one is “sitting at a desk” watching the door through the day. Everyone tells me Slovenia is safe and I believe it (I saw lockers and I’m not sure if they locked, I never used them). The kitchen is very well equipped There are two bathrooms, each with a shower (no access to washer or dryer) The female host is lovely and had great recommendations for town. The male host was also nice but appeared a bit inebriated at times, walking around and asking if we...
Read moreThis hostel is great for many reasons: the location is excellent (big supermarket and lake bled are 5 mins walk away), the rooms are clean, the shower is amazing, the kitchen is fully equipped to make meals, there are lockers and there is a nice communal area at the entrance.
As much as I don’t want to point out the negatives there is something to be aware of, especially if you are travelling alone as a female, one of the hostel owners does not always recognise personal space and enters your room whenever he feels like it and there are no locks on the bedroom or front doors. I did feel a bit uncomfortable at times because of his behaviour but I think he...
