The hotel is well located, in a small side street of the Gran Via ... so less traffic and noise than in a main street ... our room was in the back (patio view from window) and there was no street noise whatsoever ... so good to sleep. The room is one of the bigger rooms, nice size, proper, good bed and all you need. The elevator is a bit slow and small ! The decor of the hotel is nice and lovely. Small minor issues are ; 1. there is no buffet for breakfast and it is expensive (you can choose between mini or full breakfast) - solution is 50 metres in the same street there are 2 breakfast/brunch places where you can eat cheaper ! 2. we had to ask for extra toilet paper (they should notice when cleaning the room that there is nearly no toilet paper left) and we asked for an extra tea bag on the second day and they said that there were only 2 tea bags as complementary on the first day ... which is a pit poor for an expensive hotelroom (after all what is the cost of 1 teabag ??). For a first visit in Madrid we loved the location but would not go back to this hotel as it is a bit too expensive...
Read moreWhile in Madrid, we stayed at Hotel Du Temps. The hotel is very close to the Gran Vía, just a short walk away. There are lots of restaurants nearby, so you won't have any trouble finding good food. Everything around the hotel is within walking distance. I really enjoyed my time here. The room was just right, and the staff were friendly and always greeted us with a smile. When we first arrived, I noticed that the AC was not very cold. The room was about 28.9°C. At other hotels, I usually turn off the AC when I go out, but here I recommend keeping it on to stay cool. During my 5 day stay, the lowest temperature I could get the room down to was 24°C in room 303. The first 2 nights 26°C. It seems from other reviews that many guests have had issues with the AC as well. I hope the hotel can fix the AC because this is a great hotel in a great area. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely...

Once we navigated parking with all the people and cars this little boutique hotel is a real gem. I only wished we had been able to spend more time here because we had to leave a handful of hours after we arrived for the airport. We had 2 rooms. Both were super clean, and meticuously assembled. Aestherically pleasing and the beds and linens are of nice quality. Our coffee, baquette with jam, and pastery was very good; though too expensive here. We got used to spending much less at little cafes along the...
