Casa de Coral Boutique hotel — Hotel in Karon

Had a very bad experience with the staff which was mainly one lady that let us in. ||So many things went wrong. ||We got there on a very hot day we called her and for a second thought the hotel was closed…she came a few minutes later and let us inside but it was even hotter because it was all closed before we got there (we were the only ones in the hotel) it took her 10 minute to open up the check in area and that also meant she had to go get a computer and connect everything and wait for it to open..All that wouldn’t even be a problem if we felt welcome but we just got there and a lot was going wrong. ||After about half an hour that we are standing there with our bags I tried moving to the other side of the room and I tripped and hit by accident a glass picture. ||At last we had a room that just after we understood was on the 4 floor with no elevator just a bad morning. ||We tried to keep good energy and went to the beach and when we came back we saw that we didn’t have enough towels, there was no one to talk to in the area of the hotel so we called her and practically had to beg her for another towel and explain again and again that it’s not that we have enough and want another..one of us didn’t have a towel. ||In the rest of our stay we tried to keep communications to a minimum so we could enjoy our stay. ||At the last day we made sure that she knew when we want to check out because after we had a few problems we looked here and saw that people said that they didn’t get there deposit back. ||She was there at the time we decided on but the situation was horrible she said we broke it and didn’t apologize again and again at the end we left without the money feeling horrible and just so unwelcome. ||There was even more situations with the towels but I think that this is enough information. ||The place itself is in a nice spot and the room was also nice but the 4 floor up and down every time...

Our trip to Phuket is to celebrate my Hubby's Bday, so I have decided to book 2 rooms for 3 adults and 1.5 yr.old baby. We stayed for 3 nights and I could say it was a pleasant stay, the room is clean, the beddings are clean there is a bit of hair on the bedding when we arrive but am guessing that its the room steward hair dropped while changing the beddings. the location is very convenient which is I enjoyed the most it's very central and walking distance to the restaurants and cafes I planned for our itinerary, walking distance to the beach too. A lift would be a plus so you won't need to carry up the staircase your heavy luggage but in our case at least they help us booked the 2nd floor as we have a baby and 2 big luggage. If your not a very fussy type just bit fussy like me, don't expect for 4 or 5 star hotel just a clean room and comfy bed and good location is all you need for a holiday plus it's quite a big extra savings to spend for good restaurant if you could have all you need at a cheaper price and Casa de coral offer them all. I stayed here for a long weekend and it is very very average. The girl on the desk had no personality and seems to be there only now & again. My room faced the sun and was boiling hot, I was promised a change next day but as usual no one was at the desk to move me. My advise to the owner is to promote the girl who cleans the rooms as she was wonderful, bubbly and friendly unlike the one on the desk. The only thing deskgirl said to me in four days was the night before I left "you check out tomorrow". Not bothering to tell me that no one would be there to refund my money. USELESS. They take a 200Baht deposit from you for the card key which is only because they are too lazy to make any arrangements for you to leave it. I left after 7.30 am and no one was around to return my money. They sent me a stupid message the NEXT day to say "if you are around" pop in for your deposit. By then I was 1000kms away. Just a rip off. Don't stay here, there are much better places with receptions...
