As a lone traveller, I visited this restaurant as it appeared appealing from the outside being a panoramic restaurant, though I visited when dark so possibly not the best views. I liked the ambience, being on my own, I didn't want something too in your face, this was nice and quiet and would make a perfect date night. I wanted to leave a review as I feel the restaurant was far quieter than it should have been for the standard of food. First of all you do pay a little more than other local restaurants however I feel it's justified. I had the beef tartare starter which I've only ever had at a Michelin star restaurant prior, it was lovely, nicely presented and tasted beautiful. For main I had the beef cheek with mash potato. The beef was cooked possibly rare /med rare which is perfect for me and the meat fell apart on touch it was so tender. The mash, as simple as mash is, was amazingly smooth and rich in flavour. I recently dined at Sunlique, and I have to say it was an amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The ambiance of the place is fantastic—perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion.
One of the standout features of this restaurant is its menu pricing. The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. I couldn't believe how much delicious food I received for such a great price! Each dish was not only plentiful but also bursting with flavor.
The staff were always attentive and went out of their way to ensure my dining experience was enjoyable. Their warmth and hospitality really made a difference.
Overall, Sunlique is a gem! With its welcoming atmosphere, delicious food at democratic prices, and large portion sizes, I can’t recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreWe went to Sunlique twice while staying in the Kata beach area. What brought us back was their unique blend of Thai and western options. The duck confit is crispy on the outside and rich and juicy on the inside. And the beef cheek I had on our second go around was singular- it melts in your mouth and is perfectly seasoned and accompanied by a creamy and wonderful mashed potato and grilled carrot. Their mango sticky rice is also delightful. The pandan rice is a lovely twist on the traditional fare you might find on the streets. Great ambiance, kind wait staff, and a beautiful...
