Worst experience ever we checked in on 10th nov 2024 around 3pm and booked 2 rooms for our family and already paid for 8 days. The check-in was ok. the main issue was these bellboys who carried our luggages to the room. One of them asked the tips from my brother then another one approached me for the tips. why did we need to pay them the tips? he just waited outside the door till i gabe him the tips. the attitude of these bellboys was just horrible and disgusting, which made me really upset. They dont have non-smoking rooms which i was not aware. These rooms were deeply stained with cigarette smoke which made us very unpleasant and nauseous. that could be my mistake since i didnt read the previous reviews. The door lock was not functioning snd broken, which i had to request to get it fixed. We have got 2 kids and they asked us to pay for the breakfast for them. the surrounding area was quite dodgy and not family-friendly. the hotel itself was quite old and the corrider was very dirty and has the lingering smell of unpleasant cigarette smoke. I felt extremely bad that i took my whole family to this terrible hotel. i spoke to the ataff at the reception about these issues the main one being the rude behaviour of these bellboys and the old bald guy at the reception was extremely rude and told me that i could check out if i was not happy with their service rather than coming up with the solution to address these. I was not happy with how the staff dealt with my issues and checked out the next day, transferring the whole of my family to another hotel which provided us the top-notched service. I will never come back to stay at this hotel and will make sure all my relatives and friends not to stay at this terrible hotel whenever they...
Read moreI arrived at the hotel with my partner with only a small bag due to my suitcase not leaving Dubai airport with me, my partner had her large bag with her at hotel check-in. The receptionist was very good in getting my suitcase to the hotel from the airport for me. Paid for the first night given complementary drinks tickets and breakfast tickets. Next day desk phoned up to ask me to pay for the next day, explained we would pay balance on checkout as per hotel policy but told had to pay everyday. Felt a strange atmosphere towards us from hotel desk and cleaning staff everyday having to pay for room and ask for breakfast tickets. Breakfast staff very good and friendly. This morning my partners breakfast was ruined due to a bug she found in her soup. I asked why I had to pay everyday and was told because I only arrived with a small bag and I was considered a flight risk, pointed out that they had chased up the lost large suitcase for me. Spoke with reception boss who was not helpful at first until she realised there mistake on paperwork, offered a free drink as compensation. Swimming pool not available due maintenance but room rate still the same. I would like to thank the one receptionist who helped me get my bag from airport and all the waiting staff who made our...
Read moreIf you are traveling to Bangkok specifically for its nightlife, staying at a hotel near the nightclubs and bars can be a convenient choice. You'll have easy access to the entertainment venues. However, it's important to note that the music in these areas can be loud, which may disturb your sleep if you're sensitive to noise. Additionally, if the hotel is old, it might not offer the same level of comfort and amenities as newer establishments.
On the positive side, if you're looking for a budget hotel and can tolerate the music, staying in this hotel could be a good option. The 14:00 check-out time can be advantageous as well, allowing you some extra time before you have to leave.
Ultimately, the decision to stay at this hotel depends on your preferences and priorities. If you prioritize proximity to nightlife and can overlook the potential downsides of noise and an older establishment, it might be worth considering. However, if you value a quiet and more modern accommodation, you may want to explore...
