It’s a very new hotel, built in 2025, so the furnishings are in good condition and clean. The bellboy helps carry your luggage from the drop-off point to the lobby and your room. The receptionist was kind enough to fulfill my request for a room with a city view.
There is an outdoor pool on level 23. It’s not too large, so it can feel crowded when there are other guests around. The gym, also on level 23, is quite spacious and well-equipped. The gym staff were helpful as well; one staff member assisted me when she saw I needed help with the equipment.
It would be perfect if the hotel extended the gym and pool hours beyond 8 pm, so guests returning after a day out could still enjoy the facilities. Ideally, the gym could be open 24 hours, like at other nearby hotels, to suit different guest needs.
There’s a 7-Eleven located on the first floor of the hotel building, which is very convenient. However, the hotel is a bit far from the nearest BTS station, Phaya Thai. It takes approximately 10 minutes on foot along a busy main road, which is not ideal when pulling large luggage as the pavement is uneven.
The hotel does provide a one-way complimentary shuttle to the station, but it runs only every two hours between 10 am and 6 pm. You’ll need to book early, as slots fill up quickly. You can also use a ride-hailing app to arrange your own transport, but cars may take a while to arrive because the hotel entrance faces a busy main road that’s often congested.
I would also suggest the hotel install more lighting at its entrance to make it brighter and easier to spot at night. Currently, the entrance can look quite dark, with little light coming from the 7-Eleven. It’s easy to miss the turn, and you can hardly tell there’s a hotel there after dark.
Another issue is the bathroom drainage. Water drains very slowly during showers and often pools around your feet. This poor drainage sometimes causes the room to smell like sewage, which can be quite unpleasant. There is no warm water for shower no matter how I adjust the knob. If you are someone who could not take cool water shower, every shower might be a challenge.
The hotel uses a modern Japanese toilet, but the wall-mounted buttons were not functional, so you can’t fully enjoy its features.
The breakfast buffet variety is decent and reasonably priced at 350 baht per person.
Overall, aside from the less-than-ideal location and poor bathroom drainage, this hotel offers good value for money for a few nights’ stay. I felt safe and comfortable, and it’s quieter than many nearby hotels, which makes for a more...
Read moreI stayed at Queensland Hotel for 3 nights and while there were a few positives, the overall experience left much to be desired. I also emailed the hotel on 06/07 with detailed feedback but never received a response, which is quite disappointing.
Positives: • Spacious room and very comfortable bed • Friendly and helpful staff • Powerful hairdryer
Major Issues: Bathroom problems: Shower drainage was clogged and flooded after every use. Water pressure was poor and temperature kept fluctuating. A friend staying on the same floor had identical problems, showing this wasn’t an isolated case. Also, toilet bowls differed between same room types — inconsistency was strange. Poor housekeeping: While beds were made and bins cleared daily, floors were never cleaned. Hair and dust remained for all 3 days. Curtains not effective: Blackout curtains let in a lot of light from the sides, affecting sleep. Terrible signage and lighting: On arrival, it was extremely hard to locate the entrance. Poorly lit and placed right after a temporary construction area, we missed it and had to make a wide U-turn in traffic. We even witnessed a near-accident because another driver also couldn’t find the entrance. Safety hazard! Parking area: Dimly lit even during the day. Bollards and concrete blocks were painted dark grey and hard to see. Please consider using reflective or neon paint for visibility. Dark corridors: Corridor on the 12th floor where I stayed was pitch-dark every night. Lights never came on. It felt creepy and unsafe walking through it.
Overall, I hope the hotel takes these concerns seriously and improves both safety and maintenance. Ignoring guest feedback is not acceptable, especially when it relates to safety and...
Read moreAs a newly opened hotel this year and located in a laid-back region like Thailand, it can be said that it's already quite good. Housekeeping only comes to clean when the button is pressed, unlike in other high-end hotels where they come at a fixed time. The same was true at the Pullman in Singapore before, perhaps this is the norm in Southeast Asia. Another thing is that you must make your needs known. For instance, on the day of our arrival, there was a dent on the TV in our room from being smashed. We immediately informed the front desk, but they didn't come to check. We mentioned it again before leaving the next day. However, when we returned to the room in the evening, there was still no inspection. It was only when we were about to take a bath that a staff member came to the room to check. The repairman took a look and said it needed to be sent back to the factory for repair. Later, the front desk changed our room and upgraded us to a room with a great view by the road. Sigh... We can't really complain about this hotel since it has only been open for...
