This is not a hotel, it is a kind of homestay. There is not 24 hour reception or amenities. I should have known something was wrong when my reservation was cancelled. When I looked at the property again, the price had gone up by $100. I thought the owner had made a mistake and I rebooked the room thinking that the price was still fair. But when I arrived Cihan actually confessed||that this was a tactic hotel owners can use if they think they can get more for the room. He clearly did not realize he had done this to me 2 months prior. Cihan told me that if I paid cash I could get a lower price. I had seen a similar scam in other countries and knew not to do it. I said I would pay by card, the amount on the website. Later I had many problems with Cihan: he would not provide laundry service (despite it being offered on his page) and would not give me toilet paper when I ran out. The room was in poor condition, the sheets had holes and the bath towels were ripped. The house had slamming doors night and day and constantly smelled like cigarette smoke. Cihan later told Booking.com that I had “no showed” but I have the receipts and pictures to prove that I stayed there 5 nights. He did that so that he could avoid...
Read moreThe first and important thing on a trip is a kind of location. It's perfect. You go to the right-to-the-right site, you go left shopping. Sultanahmet is close, Lalleli is toga. First time we took the tram, but then we walked. In five days, the main culture and shopping has passed. The owner's sensitive, if something's over, something's wrong. They spoke English, Russian doesn't know, they're common phrases. For $80 for three days, we were surprised at cleaning, high quality, and changing towels. The hotel, like many of these, is located in the same street as the first time, although it involves navigation. When we were standing there, we didn't know where to go to the tram stop, and one of the residents came up to us, called the hotel, and took us half the way.The hotel was in the middle of the night, leaving early, coming late. Basic facilities, as in room descriptions. It's already been written, really missing hooks. Regular towels. They don't have a word at all. It was unsettling for...
Read moreMy friend and I booked this hotel for 1 night just to rest in Istanbul before travelling onwards. It was literally all we needed !! The receptionist greeted us on arrival he helped us with our luggage’s checked us in smoothly and gave us info on where to dine, he was super friendly and helped us to our room, he also whatsapp me to confirm the timings of our arrival which I thought was preferable than an email. The parking was free which is highly unusual for Istanbul. We had a basement room with 2 beds, the room had a really good heater that worked perfectly through out the cold night and the water was nice and hot in the bathroom it’s perfect for a...
