I have to share some + and - The + are Easy check-in, we let them know that we would check in between 1-2 am in the morning and a receptionist was there the minute we get out of the car He didn’t ask so much question but to ask our passport and sign some registration paper, hand in the WiFi code and let us rest Breakfast is buffet, it’s ok with the choices but they filled me in. So I review the breakfast section and choices this in the + point Every time we return back from our trip outside, room is always been made up again and always with the fresh towels. Upon check out, it was as easy as the check in process. We check out at 12pm and they let us keep the belonging at the reception when we’re still wondered around before being picked up and move to another hotel. The location is really great, in the center of touristic place. Easy to go out and walk around Room is clean and good size The amenities is also good, we got what we need The staff (receptionist) are pretty helpful
The - are The wall is so thin that during 3 nights I have problem sleeping due to noises from other rooms; people making conversation, on the phone, playing music, « private » activity, it’s pass midnights but other rooms are so busy and loud. The other guests are not having a « sense » in a manner of « time to rest or keep it quite behind the closed door » Housekeeping moved stuff so I was surprised that I couldn’t find stuff where it was before I left the room Due to language barrier, a bit difficult to ask and to understand what the staff say. Some advise, I think staff needs to be more friendlier, smile at least and greeting « good morning, good afternoon etc », « how are you today »… just...
Read moreFantastically located hotel in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. Magnaura hotel is conveniently located about a 5–10-minute walk from the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica Cistern. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nice lobby seating area and front patio where they sell umbrellas and raincoats. We booked 2 double/twin rooms for 4 nights and were allocated the ones on the 4th Floor with sea view. Good sized elevator. Very nice spacious clean rooms, comfy bed, fabulous scent when we walked in. A good number of sockets which are conveniently located in around room. The view of the sea is stunning! We were able to open the double balconette windows, relax and watch the beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset every day and night. Rooms are cleaned daily by the nicest ladies, good breakfast with a slight variation day by day. They also have a terrace area on the 4th Floor, unfurnished, but it does have a couple of tables and chairs up there. I would suggest if your room does not have a balcony to go up there respectfully of the neighbours, just to admire the relaxing Seaview in the morning or perhaps just to watch the seagulls “Keow”.
This hotel is perfect if you are a foodie as there are plenty of highly rated restaurants around. You can get a good nights sleep here compared to near the Taksim area. Not only that, but there is also a convenience store next door that sells pretty much all the necessities including data SIM cards. Moreover, there is a nice pub across the road which shows premier league football and sports.
Thank you for a pleasant stay. We will definitely choose to stay here again if we...
