Loved this place. I had a one night stay in Istanbul. I tried a few restaurants because I had 48 hours to burn. I found Satos to be exquisite, great customer service. Emin and his crew were splendid in taking care of me. Very friendly environment. They have indoor space, clean bathrooms, a dance floor for the weekends and also good food options. They accommodated me with my unorthodox requests too. Best place to check out if you’re spending time in Istanbul. Sheesha was great. Çağdaş set up a lovely table on the upper floor veranda for eight of us. Service was quick and attentive even though we were the only customers on that floor.

I love stuffed grape leaves, and Sato’s were the best I had in Istanbul in 8 days. My grilled calamari was tender and perfectly seasoned with garlic and pulbiber (I think). The white wine was good.

Everyone enjoyed what they had ordered.

We were served complimentary tea and delicious baklava and another fruit tea after that.

We reserved because we were a party of eight and staff needed time to set up the table but it didn’t seem smaller parties would need a reservation
