Elysee Cave House Hotel — Hotel in Göreme

Month Visited: Nov 2019. We stayed in Elysee Cave Hotel for 3 nights. Hotel is at walkable distance from Goreme city center. You can find lots of restaurants and shops around. Our room was fine but I felt bathroom was bit congested. View from hotel’s terrace is very beautiful. There is a cozy room decorated with traditional Turkish carpets and cushions. Early morning they decorate hotel’s terrace platform with traditional cushions so that guests can take beautiful pictures with balloons in background. Receptionist (his name is Kamal) was very helpful. We were struggling with simcard (Turkcell) issue. Kamal spoke to customer care in Turkish language on our behalf. It was very helpful and appreciable. Hotel properly scheduled red tour, green tour, airport pick-up, airport drop-off for us (need to be paid separately). They serve traditional Turkish breakfast which we found pretty good.

In terms of price performance this place was below my expectations, the unlimited coffee/tea was good and the breakfast was above my expectations, the view was amazing and chilling at their terrace was relaxing. However, the room we got didn't give me the "cave" like feeling it was just a normal room with normal walls and even some parts of these walls falling off, i stayed in the room called Ürgüp (all rooms have names of places around Nevşehir on them) and was not very pleased, the bathroom door handle broke the first time i tried opening it and this should not be the case at a hotel with such a price, the furniture looked old but i guess this was done to add to the "cave" feeling that the hotel tried to present. Overall i believe the price this place takes is very high compared to what is offered and the rooms can be worked on to provide a better cave experience towards...

My family and I stayed at the Elysee Cave house in April 2025 for 2 nights.||The online booking process was very easy. The hotel staff was very responsive and proactive in communicating with us and checking that we have everything we needed. They helped us with booking taxi pickup and dropoff for the airport and hot air balloon rides. ||The hotel property itself is centrally located in the downtown area. The property and rooms are very clean and well maintained. The breakfast has fresh, and yummy local Turkish food. ||The best part about the hotel is the terrace. It is an relaxing place to unwind at night with a bottle of wine.
