If Hot Air Balloon ride is in your bucket list, then the best place in the world you can't miss is in Cappadocia, Turkey. While passing through beautiful valleys, fairy chimneys almost greet the balloon and a magnificent visual feast is experienced.
We got up early , and were ready for pick up at 5am to reach the take off site. The inflation takes about 20 minutes and is the perfect time to get some impressive photos of the inflation process in the early morning light. Before taking off our fully licensed balloon pilot briefed us about the flight information, safety and landing instructions… Then we’re off!
The balloons start lifting off just before sun rise and by the time we were in the air, the sky was filled with hundreds of balloons! It was truly an amazing experience that becomes a core memory! The gentle gliding motion of the hot air balloon through diverse rock formations, vineyards, orchards, cave houses, .and up to the low clouds is a comforting sensation. The view is breathtaking and the thrill is surreal! Pictures and videos cannot do justice to the actual feel of flying in the sky and spectacular birds-eye views as you slowly float over the Goreme valley! The ride was very smooth and we were able to see a beautiful sunrise.... to watch the colorful Balloons shining and floating in the air as an indescribable magnificent view emerges. The flight lasts a little over an hour and the landing is absolutely smooth ...the skill of the pilots is commendable really.
Once we disembark from the basket, the ground attendants presented us flight certificates as souvenirs by popping non-alcoholic champagne or offering fruit juice.
What a lifetime experience that s turned...
Read moreAmazing experience! We were a bit overwhelmed by how many different companies there are in Cappadocia, with prices ranging from €60 to €200 for the same day, but I’m so glad we ended up going for the cheaper option. Everything felt safe, well-organised, and professional. Our pilot Osman was incredible and flight was beautiful, smooth, and unforgettable.
While shopping around, we learned that all balloon companies are regulated and the pilots are very experienced, so safety isn’t something you need to worry about. The main difference in price usually comes down to extras like the quality of breakfast, transfer service, or how polished the overall experience feels. But I think everyone is most likely there for the balloon ride itself, not the breakfast or anything else. Basket size was 28 people, which is the standard for most companies, but you’re split into compartments of four, so it never felt crowded and there was plenty of space to enjoy the view.
Honestly, if you’re just here for the balloon ride (which is what matters most!), this company is great and you don’t need to spend extra on the more expensive options....
Read morePlease do your research accordingly. I would not recommend this company at all. We were the last balloon by a mile to take off, after 2 failed attempts to get the balloon in the air which meant we could not take any of those great pictures that this flight is famous for. The company blamed a change in wind, yet the other 100+ balloons seemed to have no issue and they surely should be able to adapt to this. Therefore missed the sunrise, missed the other balloons, they cut an hour flight down to 40 minutes. There was no commentary on the flight. Staff didnt engage with you and were actually quite rude. The flight just mainly circled around a horse station and we did not travel far like we saw the other balloons doing. Very expensive, and disappointing experience to which the company made no...
