Hands up if you’ve ever gone on vacay without permission from your job ☠️😅 Anyway, Cappadocia is a must-visit stop on your trip to Turkey, so SAVE & SHARE these tips to help plan your stay! 1. Cappadocia is a region in Turkey known for its arid climate, distinctive rock formations known colloquially as “fairy chimneys”, and hot air balloon rides. The town most tourists end up staying in is called Goreme. 2. To get there from Istanbul, fly into either Kayseri or Nevsehir airports (both flights are slightly longer than an hour). From there, you can take a bus/car onward to Goreme, a 45 to 90-minute journey. 3. The best time to visit is definitely the shoulder season (April-May & September-October). This is when there are fewer tourist and the climate is more pleasant. If possible, avoid July and August— it’s extremely hot and crowded. 4. Bring cash if possible! ATMs are limited in the region and (when they work) often charge a hefty fee. Due to the instability of the Turkish Lira, many vendors accepted (and preferred) payment in US dollars and Euros. 5. Cappadocia is perhaps best known for its iconic hot air balloon rides and it’s a bucket list activity you shouldn’t miss. However, they’re often cancelled due to windy/inclement weather, so plan to spend at least 3-4 days in town so you have enough time to reschedule. Rides from reputable companies cost anywhere from 150-250 Euros per person. 6. Not interested in doing a balloon ride? Watching them from the ground isyour hotel’s terrace is just as impressive. I’ve been to Cappadocia twice and had premium terrace views from the hotels I stayed in (Koza Cave Hotel and Sultan Cave Suites). 7. Speaking of hotels, staying a cave hotel is also an experience that you can’t miss. In addition to the ones I mentioned above, I highly recommend Mirtha Cave Hotel, Kelebek Special Cave Hotel, and the Museum Hotel). 8. There are so many things to see, do, and visit in the region! Stay tuned for my upcoming Cappadocia guide. Have you ever been to Turkey? Is it on your travel list? Things to do in Cappadocia, hot air balloon, Turkey travel, vacation planning, travel tips

How many days to spend in Cappadocia to experience the balloons?🌅🎈 Felt like a princess in this dress by @cappadociarentaldresses 👗 with this view that literally took my breath away from @kozacavehotel terrace 🤩 🏜This is such a beautiful part of Turkey that you can spend many days exploring its beauty, but If you have limited time I’d say try at least 3/4 mornings so you get the opportunity to experience magical sunrises like this one surrounded by balloons overlooking its unique landscape 🎈Balloons only fly 40% of the time due to weather conditions, if you are lucky you might see them every morning but better to have a window of chance 💡VERY IMPORTANT! You can check this website to know whether they will fly or not https://shmkapadokya.kapadokya.edu.tr/en/ however they update the status only a few mins before takeoff so do not rely on this to plan your morning because they also have delays and if you see that it has red status and go back to sleep you might miss out on the opportunity to see them later on if they are delayed. Best thing to do is to get ready, go to the spot and hope for the best 🤞🏻 Best balloon season is from April to November 🎈 📍Where to watch them? Love Valley during takeoff or some hotel terraces like Koza Cave Hotel if you are a guest. You can also go on a balloon ride for a different perspective ✈️ On the last morning remember to plan your flight after 11am to leave enough time to watch the sunrise and get to the airport on time which is located an hour away 👗 dress by @cappadociarentaldresses 📍@kozacavehotel Cappadocia . . . #speechlessplaces #beautifulhotels #tasteinhotels #sheisnotlost #turkey #cappadocia #sunrise #balloons #visitturkey #visitcappadocia #sunrise #sunriselover #luxuryworldtraveler #cntraveler #placestogo #beautifuldestinations #travelcommunity #explorerbabes #shetravels #thedestinationspot #gltlove #bdteam #beautifulmatters #damestravel #dametraveler #dametravelerhotels #prettylittletrips #femmetravel #citizenfemme

Koza Cave Hotel: Unveiling the Hidden Gem of Cappadocia

In the realm of travel, where the pursuit of hidden treasures and unique experiences reigns supreme, Koza Cave Hotel emerges as a true gem, a sanctuary of unparalleled charm and allure. As a seasoned globetrotter with a background in the international airline industry, I have traversed the globe, exploring countless countries and encountering a myriad of accommodations. Yet, amidst this vast tapestry of travel experiences, Koza Cave Hotel has etched an indelible mark, securing its place among the elite echelons of the world's most remarkable lodgings.

The very essence of Koza Cave Hotel beckons the intrepid traveler with an ambiance that is not merely delightful, but exquisitely tasteful. From the moment one steps foot into the hotel's embrace, a sense of enchantment envelops the senses. The interplay of light and shadow within the cave-like interiors creates an ethereal symphony that dances upon the walls, a mesmerizing prelude to the unparalleled experience that awaits.

The heart of any hotel, its bedrooms, serve as sanctuaries of repose, and Koza Cave Hotel exceeds all expectations. Nestled within the curvature of the ancient rock formations, the bedrooms exude an aura of tranquility and comfort. The meticulous attention to detail is evident in every corner, as cleanliness and tidiness reign supreme. A seamless fusion of the historical charm of Cappadocia and modern conveniences, the bedrooms offer a retreat unlike any other, a haven where weary wanderers find solace amidst the embrace of nature's ancient architecture.

A crown jewel atop this hidden treasure trove is the rooftop bar and breakfast haven, an oasis that defies the boundaries of imagination. The view that unfolds before one's eyes is nothing short of breathtaking – a panoramic tableau that captures the very essence of Cappadocia's mystique. As the first rays of sunlight grace the horizon, the sky comes alive with a kaleidoscope of colors, a mesmerizing dance that heralds the ascension of hot air balloons. This ethereal spectacle, a timeless ritual across the vast expanse of Cappadocia, is an experience that transcends mere sightseeing, inviting guests to partake in a symphony of wonder and awe.

Yet, it is not merely the physical allure that sets Koza Cave Hotel apart; it is the human touch, the warmth of the staff, that elevates the experience to unparalleled heights. The staff at the hotel exude a genuine friendliness and hospitality that is reminiscent of the embrace of one's own home. In a world where genuine connections often feel scarce, the camaraderie cultivated at Koza Cave Hotel is a beacon of authenticity, a reminder that the most remarkable journeys are those that touch the heart and soul.

At the heart of Koza Cave Hotel lies a narrative of familial dedication and passion. As a family-run establishment, the essence of Koza is intertwined with the spirit of those who breathe life into its very existence. During my stay, I had the pleasure of meeting Sam, a member of the family who imbues the hotel with a sense of gentility and grace. His presence not only embodies the ethos of Koza Cave Hotel but also exemplifies the harmonious blend of tradition and innovation that defines this remarkable establishment.

In a landscape teeming with a plethora of lodging options, the decision-making process can often be daunting. However, for those seeking an exceptional and transformative experience, the choice is clear – Koza Cave Hotel stands as a testament to excellence, a resplendent haven that beckons the discerning traveler. Whether one seeks respite from the rigors of life, yearns to traverse the corridors of history, or simply craves a symphony of sensory delights, Koza Cave Hotel is a haven that promises to exceed every expectation.

In summation, simply 5* rating from me and as a seasoned voyager, I wholeheartedly recommend Koza Cave Hotel – an experience that transcends the ordinary, a testament to the art of hospitality and the pursuit of...

Having seen rave reviews about this place, and pictures on social media, I was really excited to stay in this place. Given it's rates are pretty expensive and a lot of the reviews said how it was family-owed, I was expecting a 10/10 stay.||However, was surprised by the lack of hospitality here. Check in was met with a lack of a warm reception and general lethargy, almost felt like we were in the wrong place. Our suitcases ended up being carried by 2 ladies who seemed to be struggling to carry it which of course made us feel a bit awkward. Also seemed they did no||Booked a room that came with a photographer but the photographer was not responsive at all despite multiple reach outs before the day they were meant to come. This was made even more annoying because we could see photographer lounging in reception not doing anything, we had to go up in photographer in person before we were told more information of how photo would take place. From responses, it seemed like photographers that are used to dealing with influencers and bigger name clients, so they do not treat regular customers with same level of care.||Breakfast was decent, not amazing but not awful either. Lovely lady in kitchen served some warm foods to guess, though eating outside would be a struggle if you're not a fan of cats||All of that being said, the cave rooms and terraces were amazing, some say it's the highest terrace in Goreme and it really seems so, it was an incredible view and morning watching the balloons take-off from the terrace. Does that view alone make it worth it? Maybe but for the prices, I would imagine there are other places which would offer similar views with...

After doing lots of research on where to stay in Cappadocia I thought that this was the best place. My boyfriend and I had been separated for 5 months because of the virus and were planning to meet here to have a romantic get away. We booked the king suit room way in advance and 2 days before we were supposed to get there my boyfriend got an email saying that our reservation had been canceled. We called the hotel right away and they lied to us and said that someone called with our reservation number and canceled the room, which was not possible because it was not me or my boyfriend. They almost left us with no place to stay and we were scrambling last minute to find a decent hotel. Sadly we went on the Koza Cave instagram just to see that a famous soccer player and his instagram girlfriend were staying in the king suit that we booked. There is only one king suit which is the room that is a dome suit cave as shown on their website. Both the soccer player and his girlfriend were posting on their instagrams that same exact room that we were supposed to be in. The hotel clearly only cared about advertisement and having a famous person stay there and did not care about us. The worst part was being lied to they should have been honest and said they gave the room to someone else. We were both totally extremely disappointed in this hotel behavior and unprofessionalism. This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had and we never even made it to the hotel! I wouldn't risk booking a room here because if a famous person comes along you will be lied to and kicked out of your room...
