I rarely write reviews of hotels but this one certainly deserves it. I stayed here on business recently and had quite a terrible experience. The room was certainly tidy and simple, which is all I needed. The first issue came when I misplaced my room key. The front desk is not 24/7, so I called the "emergency" number listed around 9:30pm when I first noticed and asked for a room key to be made and left out front by the door for me to pick up when I returned (as they had been doing for other guests). When I got back to the hotel around 11:30pm, there was no key for me waiting. I called the emergency contact numbers multiple times to no answer (went straight to voicemail). Eventually, I began seriously considering calling the Aspen Police as I had valuables and medication in the room. Instead of making me a new key and leaving it, they decided to unlock the door to my hotel room and leave it wide open, putting everything inside the room at risk. The infrastructure in the hotel is quite dated as well, and there are loud pipes that make it tough to fall asleep, as well as very poor drainage in the shower. Besides these issues, the hotel was relatively clean and the breakfast was solid. I also appreciate the free parking. The lack of attentiveness and security concerns me, and I would recommend going elsewhere if possible...
