Christy Sports Aspen St. Regis — Local services in Aspen

We were initially very happy with Christy Sports in Aspen — the staff was friendly, the service was smooth, and we appreciated the manager’s kind gesture of offering us an end-of-season discount and allowing us to store our skis overnight, which we were told wasn’t usually permitted.

Unfortunately, our experience was ruined a couple of days later when an employee named Jessie approached us in a very aggressive and disrespectful manner. When we explained that the manager had approved the ski storage, Jessie dismissed us rudely, saying he didn’t care and that it was against store policy. Despite our attempts to clarify, he remained confrontational and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.

Shockingly, the day we returned our skis, we noticed an unexpected charge on the credit card we had used to reserve the equipment — despite having paid the remaining balance at the time of pickup.

This unfortunate experience, especially the interaction with Jessie and the unexplained charge, has left us deeply disappointed. What started as a great experience ended on a very sour note...

Unless you’re staying at the St Regis, DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! The employee who sized us was def a bit too elevated to be working that day and my poor pathetic friend was given the wrong size boots and sprained his ankle on the mountain. Another friend ordered his package online and when he got there they didn’t have boots his size…. Lucky for him they canceled his order and he got to rent from another company directly across the street from Ajax. They sent his equipment to Buttermilk where you can pick up and drop off the equipment there. Had we known that this is where we would have rented from. Also, unless you stay at st Regis they won’t hold anything for you. So if you plan on walking there to pick up skis and boots to ski for a day, good luck, you’ll be carrying your shoes since they won’t hold them for you. Not a big deal since most people ski for more than a day but it’s still a complete inconvenience. I paid for a demo package and the skis I received were old and absolutely not a demo pair at all.
