I stayed with my boyfriend for a long weekend and have to say- the staff of this hotel are absolutely lovely humans. The spa especially had some of the most friendly staff I have experienced in Aspen. They are so accommodating, kind, and I felt they truly cared for me when I asked a million questions about the spa. They knew so much about Aspen, about spa treatments, and I could have stayed and talked to Victoria (I think that was her name) forever- I apologize if I got this wrong. She was blonde and so lovely and kind. When I was there I witnessed a hotel guest literally yelling at the other front desk agent of the spa- This surprised me and showed a level on entitlement I couldn't believe- how could you possibly be so angry over a business in Aspen not having availability in the busiest time of the year because you failed to book ahead of time?
To add on- when I was leaving the hotel, the front drive was dealing with a difficult guest as well- this person was a full grown man yelling at one of the valet.... how is this tolerated? I give the staff a million stars, and give majority of the guests of this hotel... 0 stars. The amount of entitlement and rude guests I experienced blew my mind. A hint to all of you? If you treat the staff like actual human beings and are kind to them, they can do incredible things for you- if you yell at them and act like an immature child- I don't blame them for not trying hard for you. It goes both ways in luxury.
The staff are wonderful PEOPLE who are clearly working extremely hard and doing the best they can in a time of low staffing levels. Additionally, they are coming out of Covid world- I cannot imagine how exhausted they must be. The staff are PEOPLE who have families, loved ones, goals and dreams- and should be treated and recognized as such. The hotel management shouldn't allow their staff to be treated poorly, and should hold guests accountable when they throw full temper tantrums because they can't get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou wrote a review for Remede Spa A moment ago 2.0 star rating 9/2/2019 This facility is beautiful - the pools, steam and ladies facilities were great. My issue was with our services. My girlfriend and I had 90 minute facials. I had issues with my service (there was ZERO pressure on BOTH the neck, arm, chest, shoulder and facial "massage" I asked her to increase the pressure FIVE TIMES and she didn't. So about half of the facial time was spent just having oil gently rubbed on me in a circular motion - where as my girlfriend received a full neck, arm and calf and foot massage with deep pressure that she said was amazing. I had also asked my therapist to tell me what each product was in case I wanted to buy some of them and she did not do that either). I was SO disappointed. But the reason I'm upset is because when I let the front desk (Erin) know that my service wasn't up to par and didn't include massage - she didn't seem to care. She did not apologize. She just said "well, I can take 20% off but other than that there isn't much I can do". I don't even care about the money part - it was just her cold response and lack of apology or any intention to speak with the esthetician to make sure she is properly trained on the facial protocol. Absolutely unacceptable for the $700 that was spent here - and in fact just plain unacceptable at any price point. For this reason we will not return to the St. Regis. Ever. This is unfortunate because the hotel staff was wonderful and truly seem to understand high end hospitality. The spa unfortunately reflected very poorly on the wonderful reputation that this...

But I can get great massages and facials at lots of places.
When you come to a St., Regis Spa, itās the whole experience that you expect to be superior - and it was not.
First, trying to reach them on the phone to schedule was ridiculous. I had to call multiple times and leave 2 messages over the course of two days just to get someone to call me back.
I arrived half an hour early as the email instructed and the doors to the spa didnāt even open until 15 minutes after that.
The staff were all very welcoming and pleasant.
The facilities were nice but the chairs in the relaxation lounge were not comfortable or inviting.
I want to hear, tranquil, spa music from the moment I step into a spa. It provides the ambience that I want from the beginning to the end of the experience. The only place where I heard spa music was in the treatment rooms.
The last aspect that totally turned me off was the number of people talking on the cell phones inside the womenās locker room and the hot tub area. Even though there were staff walking through, none of the staff asked the customers to get off their phones.
Thankfully, I absolutely loved my massage and facial but otherwise I would not waste my money to come back here. I expected a five star experience and got a three...
