When booking a room online I was asked to provide a credit card and that I could pay later, but still reserve the room. So I provided my card and clicked pay later. We showed up to the hotel pretty early and they wouldn't have the room ready for many hours. They told us there we still didn't have to pay until we checked in. We found a better hotel with rooms ready now and since we never had to pay we decided to stay at the new hotel. This hotel then charged our card even though we never checked in.
When I tried to call about the charge the man was saying "We know nothing about this charge, nothing" and hangs up. I almost figured I had the wrong number and had to double check.. I called a second time and the man picked up and hung up... I called a 3rd and a new man answered and was telling me there is nothing he can do we booked it even though we never actually "booked" the room, we reserved it and then started laughing asking what he wanted me to do about it refund me? and then he was like there is nothing to do about it. You booked it.. I said well as rude as you are you could of at least said this in the first call instead of pretending like you don't know and hanging up on me.. 1/10 horrible horrible customer service and shady business dealers.
TLDR: Motor Inn charged my card without authorization and then played dumb when I called and...
Read moreI like all of you read the reviews of this property and I was hesitant to book it. My fiance and I were heading into Atlantic City for an overnight stay to see a concert. We weren't looking to spend a lot of money for lodging, but also wanted to stay somewhere clean. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised upon arriving at the Atlantic Motor Inn. The outside looks much better than the pictures online. My experience with checking in went well. Han, who was at the front desk is a very nice man. He was quick and efficient with getting me checked in. We had a lovely conversation about traveling and he informed me that he is a world traveler, something I aspire towards. He gave us our Key and we went to room 203. We requested a smoking room, so I wasn't sure what we would walk into as smoking rooms don't generally look or smell good. Again we were pleasantly surprised. It smelled wonderful, had hard wood or peel and stick hardwoord floors. The sheets were clean as was the bathroom and the room was spatious. The wifi at the motel works well. Our car was safe all night long and upon check out we were greeted by Han again, who was just as friendly as the day before. I recommend highly staying here for...
