Knights Inn Atlantic City at Pacific Ave — Hotel in Atlantic City

I had a bad experience the person doing check in (male) was very rude. Not only to me but several guest including the ones in front of me. It took 1 hr to get checked in because my first room I went in was filthy! One bed had dirt in it food crumbs sheets stained bathroom dirty the ceiling was cracked and had water damage, the mattress was ripped all down one side felt like a box spring and smelled heavily of smoke. I specified in my booking I had allergies and breathing issues, which was dismissed. They also only give a ten min window for you to check the room out and see if you want to leave or not to get a refund..When I went back down I told the GM what I found, she was very helpful in trying to resolve my issue but I was disappointed in how long it took to get a new room. I arrived at 515 pm and didn't get in a semi comfortable room until 630pm because of the GM NOT having enough help and having to do her job and the gentlemens at the check in desk. Smh after returning from my event I discovered my new room did not have a light bulb inside the room and the room phone did not work to call I was fed up. I have very few needs when it comes to a lodge. I just need it to be clean, accessible and relatively quiet. This place failed on all counts. Not sure if they explicitly have smoking/non smoking rooms but my particular room smelled so strongly of cigarettes that it permeated into the sheets. The fixings in the room are dated which wouldn't be a problem if it was properly cleaned. Ran into the hair of whoever was there before me in the bathroom in various spots. All of these things I would overlook so long as I got a good nights sleep which would've happened if it weren't for the tenants next to us who were in a shouting match for literally the entire night with what seemed to be non existent intervention by management. Based on the shouting from several other tenants who popped their heads out I'm not the only one who lost sleep. Look people, I'm not trying to be overly critical, if anything I wouldn't even be writing a review if it weren't for the experience. But seriously, if you're looking for a cheap accommodation in AC, respect yourselves spend a few more bucks and find literally...

Do not go here. I usually am pretty easy to please, but this place was horrible. I would not reccomend. The pictures in the website look reasonable but when my boyfriend and I got there, the room was so dirty. We found cigarette butts (we got a smoking room) scattered on the table, it was easy to tell that the floor hadn't been vacuumed, the bed linens had random strands of hair all over it. The mirrors were smudged and gross. Nothing was cleaned properly, and as a housekeeper myself, i was disgusted more than usual. We went downstairs to see if we could possibly get another room, but the person there argued with us. Even though it's a smoking room, which is gross in general, it could of been kept up with. There was even a small 'roach' sitting on the headboard of the bed. My boyfriend and I walked to a store ( because we were told if we left the parking lot we would lose our spot ) to go get our own bed linens to sleep on. Maybe I have too high of expectations for AC or I'm just not familiar with it, but it was not the best...
