We went there at around Sunday, March 30th. We arrived at around 8:00pm-ish and they closed in an hour (9:00pm) and we were seated of course there is no other customers around and when we asked what drinks we wanted I got the coke and when my mother asked for the peach drink they were serving are server said “sorry, we ran out of peach drink.” And she got sugar free soda instead when we started ordering are food I went first and of course I wanted to get my usual meatloaf and side of broccoli and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately was informed that they don’t have meatloaf or broccoli either and I had to order a different course and another side (for the entree it was like some sort of glazed chicken with bacon on it and for the other side Mac n cheese.) and my mom got chicken dumpling soup and side of corn and I think greenbeans and mashed potatoes as well. We also wanted biscuits as well but when we got are food I had a weird feeling and it was strange are food came out first before we even got are biscuits, and of course we had to ask for are biscuits since they forgot about them and when they brought them there was only 3 or 4 biscuits like are you kidding me! 🤦♀️ When my mother ate her food the chicken dumplings was overcooked and extremely BLAND! And her sides the corn was overcooked, mashed potatoes felt room temperature and crusty and the green beans were the only side perfectly cooked for my food I got two glazed chicken breast with sauce with one bacon strip on each breast and got a LOT of mashed potatoes the edges of the potatoes were cold and the middle was warm and Mac n cheese was bland a room temperature as well after eating half my plate I begin to feel nauseous and decided to ask for are check and boxes, we paid are food and went home later on at home was feeling a bit better enough to eat my leftovers I warmed up my food and when I was about to finish eating my chicken I saw some weird discoloration inside of my chicken and I was confident that I think my chicken was NOT Cooked long enough at all so I ended having to vomit my leftovers up and I ended up feeling sick afterwards and my mother did call the manager the next day and she told are story and the manager said the next time we come in are food will be comped. Worst...
Read moreMy last couple visits have been disappointing lowering my previous 5 star rating. Consistently the food is luke warm coming out of the kitchen. This past visit, the coke was "nasty" according to our server and she recommended other drinks that day until the problem was fixed. No silverware when we got our food, making it colder as we waited 5 min ( i looked) for just that. Server mentioned that was happening a lot. Food getting colder...Our table for 4's food was also delivered at different times. My friend ordered a grilled chicken salad. The server brought the grilled chicken breast on a plate and nothing else and pondered staring at the table "are you missing something", my friend responded "...the salad...". She returned with a salad but there were no croutons and the server said it didn't come with them. She did offer to bring some though. They do come with it. My other friend ordered a bowl of soup, they brought out two cups saying they had no bowls. The dining room was only half filled and it was 85 degrees outside so not many people ordering bowls of soup. Oh and while they technically filled their promise of 4 pcs of fried chicken I didn't have one breast.
So from host/hostesses not dropping silverware for tables, to servers not knowing the menu, to kitchen staff not maintaining pop lines and getting complete orders out in a hot and timely manner, to dishwashers potentially keeping up on washing or bussers bussing dishes back this place is a trainwreck. I would not have come if it wasn't a favorite of my mom. Maybe I can convince her to stay away as she complained the fries that came with her shrimp were so salty they were inedible. ...
Read moreThis place was a great restaurant staple, you really could order just about anything on the menu, and it would have good flavor, and you would get quick, friendly service. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case now. We understand many places are short staffed now, but thats only part of the issue. The last 3 visits here resulted in really poor food, and basically an hour wait once ordered. The last visit, we had table of 7, and 5 of us had sides that were not even close to warm, hashbrown casserole was do dried out and cold, clearly sat there for a very long time, some mentioned even the corn seemed like it had been out for a very long time, maybe reheated over and over, it was tough. The time before that, 2 out of 3 whole meals came out completely cold, it seemed like they sat out for 1/2 hour before being brought to our table. The time before that, 2 out of 2 meals were cold. The worst part, the manager on duty didn't seem to care at all, just said he would take what we didn't eat, off the bill, but no apology, and seemed as if he was just annoyed that we made a complaint....before we left, we heard 2 other table complain to the manager as well. I'd be willing to overlook a long wait for good food and service, but not poor food, long wait, and unapologetic manager. I really hope in the future and I revise this to a 4-5 star review if they get their act back together, but its going to be awhile...
