TL;DR.....Very dirty, mice running around, dishonest bartenders who will steal from you
I wasn't even going to write a bad review until I checked my bank statement. This place was great at first. Loved the old school dive bar vibe. Then things went downhill. The KJ only allowed friends and regulars to sing karaoke, and told other guests they couldn't sing. There were mice running around, and one just chilling in the middle of the floor. To top it all off, the bartender added $10 to the tip I left on my debit card. That is straight up theft, and I would love to hear from management on why this is allowed to happen. If I do not receive a response from management, I will be disputing the entire charge with my bank....
Read moreFive stars -- if you like a dive, that is. Nob Hill has been the best little trash heap in Capitol Hill since time immemorial. Rumor has it Kerouac preferred the booth by the radiator. A '70s bar, smoked mirrors and dingy lighting complete the image of a quintessential dive. The music plays a little too loud from a pay jukebox loaded with Kazaa's finest pirated CDs, and classic rock abounds. Their drink special is always the same: $6 for a PB&J. That's a glass of Pabst Blue Ribbon and a shot of Jameson. Best deal...
Read moreGood atmosphere, however, the bartender said she was getting ready to close when I tried ordering a beer before 2am. Cut off is at 2 am, not 1:43. It's just laziness and trying to go home at 2am. The beer is no longer served at 2 which means 2am on the dot is the time to be cut off. I can order a beer at 1:59 if i want to. Also, she was having a conversation with a customer at the time which makes me believe she would rather have her time...
