Bourbon Grill — Restaurant in Denver

So delicious, I can't stop thinking about it! 😋 my advice; don't judge a book by its cover! My friend took me there the first time I went, of course like the arrogant stubborn person that I am I didn't want to try it, because the outside didn't look very appealing, so my friend went on and Ordered for himself, when he opend up the box I couldn't believe my eyes, it looked sooooo good. I tried a bite of the Mac and cheese, and I felt so dumb & arrogant, & I felt like a judgmental ass. The next week I went and ordered for myself, ever since then it's been my favorite. It's also been my wife's favorite, and she is a picky eater, so if she likes it, I'm sure anyone Else will. I can't forget, to mention it is a surprisingly super clean, spotless little kitchen, I only say it's surprising, because the outside doesn't do any justice. It's an old little building , and there's lots of bums, and drug addicts hanging out around there. There's no parking lot, and you probobly don't want to get towed so don't park in burger kings parking lot! Sometimes it could be a 30 minute wait. It's takeout only, but the food is worth it! My favorite is the #1 combination with Bourbon chicken served over the best steamed rice I've ever had from any restraunt, my favorite sides are the Potatoe wedges, and their Mac n cheese. I can't get over the Mac and cheese, the cheesiest, most flavorful Mac and cheese EVER!! I would do anything for their Mac and cheese recipe! Anyways the prices are , it's only 8.00 for a huge portion! It could definitely feed two. For the price and quality, these guys deserve...

Living about a block away from their newer location, I frequented this place very often. Food....5 stars. Its some of the best I have ever had, and people go through great lengths to get good food. People get up at 4am and wait in line for 6 hours for some BBQ in Austin. haha So ill say the food is the #1 priority with this place and i'm willing to forgive the other issues they have. Also the portions are quite generous, so even though its a bit expensive, two people can easily split one plate and maybe an extra side and both be full.

Those other issues... The employees are VERY relaxed. Friendly and nice, but they are in NO rush. haha nor do they seem too worried about back orders and long lines. In a typical fast paced take out restaurant, they could double or even triple their out put without much effort. But again...The food is the priority, so its worth the hassle. Just dont go there in a pinch thinking you can grab a quick meal. It may take you 30 minutes to get your order, other times, no wait at all. Its just frustrating not knowing how much time you need to allocate before you go there.

Place is clean and well kept. but the location is what it is. Its usually surrounded by homeless and drug dealers who hang out along the sidewalk next to the 711. I know this I typical in this area of Colfax. Lived there for nearly a decade, but this specific spot in particular is a hot bed. They will pester you to give them your order the second you walk...

Look, if you find yourself with $12 to your name, and you're hungry, starving, need a snack, have to eat for the next week, whatever the case may be, take your butt to bourbon grill. I promise you two things. 1. You're not gonna be disappointed. 2. You're not gonna be hungry after. I would go as far as to say 3. You're not gonna finish a combo meal but then somebody would do it just to spite me. Listen, get the bourbon chicken and get macaroni and cheese as one of your sides. Who cares what you get for the other side, you're gonna wanna slap your momma that's how happy you're gonna be with your first choice. This place is amazing. Great food, great service, it's delicious, they give you literally a ton of food, and the price. Jesus don't get me started. I gave this place 5 stars then took it away, then gave it 5 stars again 10 times, just so in my mind I gave it 50 stars, That's how much I freaking love this place. I borrowed 2 thumbs from 5 friends so I could give it 10 thumbs up. Then I remembered my buddy Reggie only had one thumb thanks to a freak disc golf accident.
