After many years staying and enjoying Aqua hotel, since they were fully booked for the entire stay, we decided to book La Casa hotel for 15 nights, knowing that it also belongs to North Beach Village.||I will start by saying that we personally prefer the small hotels in Fort Lauderdale, and when we look for a luxury vacation in a five starts resort then we choose another destination, so we definitely are aware of what we are going for, however after more than 20 years of coming to Fort Lauderdale, nothing prepared us to this horrible experience including dirty rooms, no towels, toilet paper, cockroaches walking in the room, dirty floor, stains that look like blood stains on some towels and much moreâŠBUT with one light in the tunnel who did part of these 15 days we stayed there tolerable - Maggie from Aqua hotel, (where we usually used to stay) and took care of us as much as she could, as soon as she came back from her own holiday.||Reception: The hotel has no reception, they tell you to go to the office at Winterset however also there there was no one, besides a call button where you can talk with someone.|So imagine waiting outside for 30-40 minutes each time for someone to answer and then to come to check in or if you need anything. (And soon you will understand how important it was) ||Cleaning: I will emphasize and say that all what I say here is prior the decision for housekeeping to stop cleaning rooms at hotels. (as we were told) ||Upon check-in we have told that every day housekeeping will be arranging the room and changing towels, and every 3 days there will be âdeep cleaningâ which includes change of bed linens, swipe and wash the floor and taking the garbage out, in reality NONE of it happened.|Sometimes they brought 1 big towel (in total! for 2 men!!) because they didnât have enough for all guests, sometime 2 small hands towels and sometimes no towels at all!! change of bed linens? In 2 weeks we stayed there - NEVER ! Whenever we needed something we drove to another north beach resort and asked for towels, toilet paper, ben lines and changed them ourselves.||Can you imagine when you are on a beach vacation how a floor looks like with no cleaning for 15 days ? Not even mentioning the shower/bathroom and kitchen.||After we realized quite early that nothing will change, and started to kill huge cockroaches in the room, we bought cleaning products for our entire stay and started cleaning ourselves, However with no washing machine we were still dependent on clean towels and bed linens.||From few representatives we got âroboticâ answers such as âI definitely understand how you feelâ but the best one we got was âduring the pandemic I also clean my apartment and change my bed linens my selfâ,(ehhhhh yes, you are not on holidays?!) but with not much power to help or change anything.|Then we came across with Maggie from Aqua hotel, who came back and knew us from previous stays in Aqua, I am telling you this lady is an asset to North beach village, and can actually teach of how to give a personal caring service, finally we felt that someone is taking care of us and she is the only reason why after this experience we would ever consider booking again North beach village, however only Aqua hotel, and ONLY when she is there, Maggie if you read this a HUGE thank you from Patrick and I for being there for us.||I apologize for the long review and I definitely hope it...
Read moreWe stayed at this property twice in 30 days. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, because our first stay was not the best experience. I'll start by saying that the price and location are unbeatable. The property is cute, the rooms are a decent size and it's one block from the beach. But my frustration comes from the check in process, the parking and the lack of housekeeping and clean towels. There is no dedicated parking, so good luck. There is no office on site, and is it extremely difficult to reach anyone by phone. And housekeeping NEVER came to our room on either stay, which totaled 8 days. We had to fight every single day to get clean towels. I was told in multiple texts (because that's how they communicate with you) that daily housekeeping was included in the price of the room, but no one came. Ever. This most recent stay was especially unsatisfactory. The bathroom was not clean, the toilet paper was almost out (with no extra in the room) and we were not given any clean towels, in spite of multiple requests. I texted someone at noon that we were out of clean towels and toilet paper and that our trash needed to be emptied, and I was told that it would be taken care of right away. Fast forward to 6 pm when we returned...to no towels or toilet paper. I was able to get in touch with someone via phone and I was told that we were on the list for housekeeping to come to our room. Really? At 6pm?? I told them absolutely not. It really is a cute property, and the location is excellent. I wanted to love it. But the management leaves much to be desired. They never even apologized for the ongoing issues, which leads me to believe this is just the way...
Read moreArrival information, very poor. No explanation of where to check in as reception is located in a different hotel. ||After travelling for 14 hours, we could not get into the room because the key card did not work. We encountered lots of guests locked out of their rooms for the same reason and this had been happening for a week. ||There was one reception staff on duty trying to deal with the same problem in all 9 of the hotels that belong to this chain so he was run off his feet trying to help people. ||Other guests were complaining that they had no water for days. This was New Yearâs Eve with people unable to shower and locked out of their rooms. I demanded an immediate refund and we had to find last minute alternative accommodation which was incredibly difficult and expensive at 7 pm on New Yearâs Eve in Fort Lauderdale. ||I will monitor the refund status to ensure that they keep to their word. Some people came to reception asking about room availability and they were still offering rooms even though they knew it was impossible to get into them. I warned them off, but there is so little accommodation at the last minute. I think they...
